The room was separate to the main building smelt damp and was not very clean, the evening meal was ok except we got lead in to a out house next to the restaurant for a drink almost like we were not allowed in the restaurant until our food was ready ( very strange ) breakfast was not much better I asked for a poached egg and was given one that was cooked in a frying pan with water not exactly a poached egg, run by a mother and son who has never left her apron strings and A cat walking around the restaurant

We were only able to stay for one night but we really wish we could have stayed for longer. We had 2 rooms side by side for ourselves and our 2 children and it was perfect. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Our only suggestion would be to add shower curtains if possible so that the bathrooms don't get spoilt! We had the pool all to ourselves when we used it which was fantastic. We also had a marvellous evening meal, where every fussy demand from our children was catered to with a smile. Breakfast was also tailored to our needs. In short, we loved it and would thoroughly recommend it to other families.

what a brilliant host, Jennie.a lovely place to stay,nothing was to much trouble. Jennie even made early breakfast so we could watch world cup rugby . all the food is local produce & home made.the whole place is immaculate & clean.the grandchildren this to this to loved walking round the small lake & gardens. there is also good size indoor swimming pool, hot tub & sauna. altogether a really nice place to stay & would recommend this to anyone . a big thank you . We stayed for one night with a dog, we used the pool and had an evening meal and breakfast. We think this is a delightful hotel and the best part was the food - delicious three course meal and at a good price.
Yes, its no frills with butter in little packs and at breakfast we were given the sauce bottles but it didnt matter - could almost be part of its charm!
Alex and Jennie are very welcoming, chatty. helpful and interesting and will cater to your every need.
We bought the dog and he loved his walks around the grounds.
The rooms are basic, comfortable and importantly clean and we enjoyed the little outside seating area where we sat and drank some drinks from the bar.
The pool is lovely and clean and was great as had it to ourselves to relax in and enjoy the sauna and hot tub.
Dont go expecting a modern, trendy, minimalist hotel with all mod cons but go and enjoy it as it is a lovely place in the country and idea for exploring norfolk and the breks and MAKE SURE you eat in the restaurant.
Oh and the hotel should be congratulated on its bit for the environment with lots of recycling and minimal amount going to landfill.
Will go again.
