We stayed here as Hobart was pretty much fully booked with the race and taste festival going on. Note we booked in September! At $130 a night for a double room we were told there was no room servicing because of the special price we were receiving, what a joke! Having stayed in hotels all around the world this place was an absolute over-priced dump, avoid at all costs!
Basically they have run the place down to nothing and at charging market rate on city hotels.

No service , small oil heater not sufficent for room , no electric blankets, no breakfast,
needed to be half mountain goat to climb the steeps to room,floor creak ,
could here the man next door snoring, going to the toilet and coughing.
but the view was wonderful.
Also while not the fault of the motel . But looking through the recommend restaurants
dined at the Golden Junk in Bellerive meal average , service very poor ,extreamly over priced

We stayed here for only one night when Hobart was pretty much booked out. This seemed to be a problem in all of Tasmania the week we were there. The room we got at $120 for the night was a family room, but we only used the double bed, but it came with bunks as well. The room was nothing flash, but bed was comfortable and we had a City View - however this also meant we were in the rooms closest to the highway. So I would suggest if noise is a problem you may wish to give up the view. Room was basic, bathroom old but clean. Heating was via electric oil heater. But for us there were not alot of other alternatives. We chose to dine in Bellerive in a great little Asian Cuisine BYO which was great as it was close without having to travel back over the bridge. I would stay there again, but only if my favourite Hobart hotel was fully booked.
