Well....Alberto was awesome at keeping the beverages coming at the pool and he remember's what you want even when you create your own....Make sure to tip,as they do not make alot....never lets your drink be empty.....And also at front desk Pailo...was wonderful to deal with,and he cut us some slack being my birthday and all.....very nice Resort,only downfall.....no nightlife and that is one aspect my husband and friend's do enjoy......Great place for familie's....All in all.....lot's of sun,sand,food,drink's and great company!!!!Oh yes and by the way for those who enjoy jet skiiing ,just down past The Marina ...a great jet ski company!!!Just talk to Mr.Bill!!!!!go have a blast........you will not be disappointed in this resort.....Great suite's as well.....:)

I have to give these folks a 5 out of 5 because this place is run so well. This is the first resort I have stayed at ever, in Mexico or anywhere else. I was amazed at how clean and well maintained everything was. The food was fresh and excellent, only had one bad meal and that was at the Mexican restaurant. The steak was kind of tough and fatty. Otherwise everything was perfect!! Loved the buffet, the mediterranean, and the Marina restaurants. The pool is amazing and very clean. The ocean front is beautiful. My girlfriend is really big on having a lot of towels and they gave her as many as she wanted. I was able to stock our fridge in the room with as much beer and water as I wanted, they also gave us sodas. The room was spotless and never saw one bug. This is the best bang for your buck folks! I booked through costco and they handled the flights, ground transportation to/from the airport, and the week we stayed at the resort. I dont think your buck goes any further anywhere else in the caribbean. Local transportation on the public buses is excellent and you can see whatever you want and go wherever you want without having to rent a car. We booked a day at Xplor and a day at XCaret through the tour office at the resort (Pronatours) and everything was handled very professionally. This is kind of a family place so rock on if you are bringing kids. There is not much night life after 10pm except the disco at the Marina. Dont stay here if you want a romantic getaway for couples because it is more of a family resort. You will get the screaming kids at the pool and restaurant etc., so if you mind that kind of thing better look somewhere else. It was no problem for us, though and we had a great time!!

This was our first trip to this resort, and we were very happy with the experience. The hotel itself is very nice, very clean, and the service was excellent. Gift shop on the main floor was very helpful, for anything last minute you may need, except every time we bought cigarettes there, which was often, we were charged a different price, before the exchange rate. Not nice, cause we remembered. This resort is great for kids, the pool area with rock slides very popular. The grounds are beautifully kept. The beach and pool bars were very accomodating, getting u anything u wished. Can't say the same for the lobby bar, no coffee available we were told, and they didn't know what a mexican coffee was....The one thing that I do think would make this resort better, is that they need a 24 hour food, liquor, internet area. They have internet u can use, but it's very expensive, and unavailable only when the consierge is available, so not till 730 am for sure. Or that was my experience. No where to get a coffee, to watch the sunrise ... The front desk for checkin, or anything else needed, was very slow. Only 1 other couple checked in the same time as we did, and it took half an hour....excellent location also...I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE!!!! very nice indeed Thank you!!

Just returned from a wonderful week at El Cid. This is by far the best run all inclusive hotel we've ever visited. Incredible spot for families with young kids. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Hats off to the staff at the kids club!! Nightly entertainment was very professional
and fun. Food was well prepared and presented, lots of options for a hungry family. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beach was good, but not exceptional. Would return to this friendly resort in a moment.
