The rooms are clean but very, very basic. A room with two double beds and A/C is around $54 USD, which seemed overpriced compared to other spots we stayed during our week in Mexico. There are better values out there.

One staff member was extremely friendly and helpful, while the others seemed put off by us. The hotel wanted us to pay for each night in advance, but the credit card machine wasn't working, so we had to find a cash machine. The woman behind the counter seemed wary of letting us leave our bags in the room without our having paid first, but finally relented.

The outdoor bar is a fun congregating spot at night and they have live music from time to time. It was a good spot to meet both locals and other travellers.

Overall, it was decent enough, but overpriced.

We have eaten at Posada Amor several times during trips to the Costa Maya. While all the food is good, the ceviche (cold fish dish marinated in lime juice) is superb! The best of many times we ate it on this 3 week trip, including Chetumal, Majahual and other stops. Our outdoor table was pleasant, the service impeccable and friendly. Our host even brought us complimentary glasses of a very fine homemadde tequila to accompany the ceviche.
We checked out the rooms and would gladly stay there on our next trip south.
Posada Amor is not to be missed. Stop for lunch and a few cervezas with your ceviche! You won't be sorry.

This small hotel is a family business. There is a photo in the bar of the Grandparents when they ran it in their youth.

We arrived, 7 of us, travel weary from the long trip from England.

As we only needed 1 night's accommodation we opted for a cheaper accommodation. Our main reason for wanting to stay there was to meet our future son-in-law prior to the wedding the following Saturday.

The rooms were adequate. En-suite but no towels provided. The fan was a necessity as the atmosphere was very hot and humid. It had rained half an hour before our arrival.

The staff were very friendly and when we asked if we could put tables together, they were only too pleased to help. There were 10 of us and we all had delicious food served to us....our first taste of real mexican food.The Margarita was superb! It was all very reasoably priced too.

Next morning we all had breakfast together. This was not included in the price of accommodation, but well worth it.

Would I come here again? Yes but next time I would ask for towels!
