The bottle water is A Must!

The bathroom water is brackish & smells funny. Brush your teeth with bottled water. Take bottled water to dinner with you.

Food was ok @ best!
The asian restaurant was the best quality of food next to the french place.
Don't go expecting to be floored by the service of food.

This place is what you make it to be.
You could easily have a good time...

Tv has ports for hdmi etc.
Most tv is basic but you have tnt, cnn & 2 movie channels that are in english. Spanish subtitles on everything.

FYI Doors must be closed to run the AC

The beds are horrible!!! Very cheap. You will need a spa after 2 nights of sleeping on them.

It is very beautiful there for a resort.

If you take day trips Take Your Own Water & snacks. Be Very Careful What You Eat while not at the resort!!!

Our group of eight stayed at The Now Jade Feb. 4-8. Last year we had reservations to stay at this property, but upon arrival the resort was full and they upgraded us to another resort, Dreams. In comparing the two properties, we would return to the Dreams Riviera. Dreams was a notch above in the overall resort (rooms, pools, lobby) but no comparison in the beaches. Now Jade beach has a very small area to walk due to the fact there are no resort properties on either side of the resort so the beaches are dirty (seaweed, trash).

On the good side we were very happy with the bartender at The Mix Bar. Darius was super friendly, entertaining, and made our trip better. We would also like to give a shout out to everyone at Mercure restaurant. Great food and staff.

Overall satisfactory stay, but not worthy of a 5 star rating - in the opinion of our group.

We booked through Apple Vacations and were pleased with this resort. The rooms were nice, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was large and we loved the jetted tub. The main restaurant for breakfast was decent. There was always a good variety and the food was fresh. I loved the coffee shop. We had a latte everyday. The french restaurant was delicious. We went there twice and had great food and great service. We also ate at the asian restaurant twice. We liked the atmosphere and enjoyed the food. We didn't eat at any of the other restaurants as the menus just didn't appeal to us. The thing I liked most about the dining is that we didn't need reservations. We didn't have to get up early and wait in some long line to decide what we wanted to eat for dinner for the next 4 nights. We just decided that evening, showed up, and were seated in less than 10 minutes each time. Loved that!

The pool was clean and we enjoyed the pool bar. The entertainment staff was kind and energetic. There was never a shortage of beach chairs at the pool. Also, there was no need to go save chairs at 6:30 am with towels. There was a fresh towel on each chair each morning and plenty of them. There is a smaller adult pool on the opposite side of where we were. We visited and thought it was a little boring, but appreciated the option.

I hope to return here sometime again.

I am not sure why it's taken me so long to write this, but I stayed here for 4 nights in May of 2011 as part of a large group for a friend's wedding onsite. Security was pretty tight getting onto the resort grounds, but I appreciated that. The hotel grounds were lovely, with several pools and stunning views of the ocean. The suites are actually in several buildings across the hotel grounds, so it can be a bit of a hike to your room, depending on where you're coming from. Our suite was very nice, with a great balcony. I especially enjoyed the window in the shower, which overlooked the pool and the ocean; it was a very pleasant site to see while washing my hair! For the most part we did not have any problems getting chairs at the pool although at the times when we were with a large group it was hard, which is to be expected.

This was my first all-inclusive experience, and I would definitely do it again. Drink service was always very prompt. The food at the buffet was adequate. We also ate at the Italian, Asian, and "burger" restaurant and the quality of food at those places was quite good. We also ordered room service one morning, which is included in the all-inclusive package. There's a lobby bar and a "sports bar," which is a little bit cheesy, but hey, the drinks are free. The sports bar has dancing most nights and karaoke sometimes as well.

Tip - pack lots of sunscreen! The sun really does feel stronger down there. We ran out and had to buy more in the resort shop and ended up paying about US $30 for one bottle. Lesson learned!

All in all, we would definitely return if the price were right.
