There are a lot of fine resorts that we could have stayed at during our Anniversary Trip to Cancun, but what stood out for us were the reviews of Secrets Silversands, and they did not disappoint in the least! I cannot express enough how wonderfully upbeat, welcoming and warm all of the staff were to my husband and I during our 7 day stay at Secrets Silversands. From the moment we arrived to the phrase "Welcome Home" from the Greeters, to the warm, scented towels, all the way down to the waiters and waitresses who always told us it was their pleasure to meet our every need, and they meant it. The resort was always maintained, neat and tidy, down to every detail. The rooms were tidied twice a day and the room service, presentation of meals and desserts, impeccable. The fact that we were not required to make reservations for meals at the restaurants (only the Hibachi part of Himitsu) was excellent. And we NEVER had to wait for a table. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth mentioning as it had our eyes bugging-out with pleasure. The offerings were amazing: omelet station, traditional American foods, smoothie bar, lox and bagels, Mexican food, European offerings....every morning was a new enjoyment! What is most important to mention were several waitstaff and management people who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent and that we were completely comfortable and taken care of during our stay. Cesar, the bar manager became a friend of ours. He was always checking on us and wholeheartedly letting us know if we needed anything to let him know. Mariana, the Games/Entertainment Host was hysterical and kept everyone upbeat and participating! Even if you didn't participate in an activity you enjoyed watching her have fun with all the guests! She was a blast! Tere, a very hard-working poolside waitress always kept a smile on her face while she ran like crazy to meet everyone's needs. Always smiling, always working hard- she was amazing! Before we even arrived Ines Sanchez at the Front Desk called to make sure all of our plans were in order and we were set with our vacation. It was very impressive how detail-oriented, well-trained and completely pleasant the staff was. Both my husband and I come from backgrounds in hotels and restaurants and were very impressed with how smoothly it all was managed and run. I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE and EVERYONE I encounter.
