lots of helpful staff and they were all friendly. The food was great and the bins on the buffet were always full. (even the best stuff) Beds were comfortable and room were quiet. We go with a group of about 8 couples every year to an all inclusive and this one was very nice.

This is a very nice resort - they do tend to try to upsell you when you check in to get you to go to a more expensive room. We did do the upsell & it was a wonderful room. The resort is very clean & the staff were all very nice, attentive & always going above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. The check-out process was a bit unexpected - they make you go through a check-out process to provide you with a card to give to the bellhop to retrieve your luggage & their was a line of about 5 people with only 1 person checking people out. We were very concerned we wouldn't catch our transportation back to the airport.

My husband and I stayed here April 2009, this review is long overdue but well deserved. Prior to this resort I had stayed at Bahia Principe Tulum twice. This resort is small, not alot of walking involved but that's what makes it more romantic in my opinion. When we arrived the resort was at a low occupancy due to the H1N1 scare. The day after we arrived actually it was announced that all the airlines were shut down in Canada to fly to Mexico. During the week we watched the staff disinfect doorknobs, menus, chairs, everything. We never got sick nor did we meet anyone that got sick. By the end of the week the resort had 20% occupancy and we were told that 400 staff were sent home for lack of work. Needless to say we had the resort to ourselves. Every night at dinner was so private, food was excellent at all restaurants. The beach was lovely. We really spent most of our time by the pool listening to music. We did enjoy the lobby bar, they play the best music there. Our room was spectacular, it was partial ocean view but in our opinion was full ocean view. Service was 100% all week long. We really enjoyed the grouper sandwich at the grill and the breakfast buffet was also a favourite. The gym was super, all new equipment and well spaced out however the a/c was not working so it was extremely humid in there all week.
All in all this resort made our honeymoon special and romantic. We would go back in a heartbeat and book the same room category.

Rooms are awesome. You could fit 8 in the shower alone. Has huge jetted tub that you can watch tv while relaxing. The service was exellent. Silversands is a short ride from the airport.
The shows after dinner were exciting, funny, and amazing. They have alot to do during the day incase you get tired of soaking in the sun. The Spa has a huge relaxation pool and lots of different areas to enjoy. The breakfast was killer. Lunch was great and dinner was always something different. If I had to score anything lower than 5 star itr would be the food at dinner accept for the asian restaurant. I think they have 8 different places to eat. Although wine is included, I would recommend buying a bottle from the wine menu because they make a special appetizer or desert for you. Make sure you try the room service. After the first time when we got there from traveling we tried it 3 more times. They have top shelf brands of booze, you just ask for what you like and they will make it with that. The beer served is draft corona and if you like canned your choice is Bud Light or Corana Light. If you want to go to Cancun they have a bus for 15 dollars round trip. I would recommend this resort to stay at.
