Rooms are awesome. You could fit 8 in the shower alone. Has huge jetted tub that you can watch tv while relaxing. The service was exellent. Silversands is a short ride from the airport.
The shows after dinner were exciting, funny, and amazing. They have alot to do during the day incase you get tired of soaking in the sun. The Spa has a huge relaxation pool and lots of different areas to enjoy. The breakfast was killer. Lunch was great and dinner was always something different. If I had to score anything lower than 5 star itr would be the food at dinner accept for the asian restaurant. I think they have 8 different places to eat. Although wine is included, I would recommend buying a bottle from the wine menu because they make a special appetizer or desert for you. Make sure you try the room service. After the first time when we got there from traveling we tried it 3 more times. They have top shelf brands of booze, you just ask for what you like and they will make it with that. The beer served is draft corona and if you like canned your choice is Bud Light or Corana Light. If you want to go to Cancun they have a bus for 15 dollars round trip. I would recommend this resort to stay at.

My girlfriend and I recently visited Silversands in December and it is among our top favorites. We stayed in the Preferred Club Oceanview room and it was ballin'! All of our friends we're so jealous after seeing our pictures. The food was incredible, the staff was so helpful and kind, the entertainment staff is hilarious and really knows how to have fun, and the overall environment is spectacular. I had actually been in contact with the resort staff and AquaWorld (the diving center on site) 8 months prior to leaving and they helped me set up the proposal to my girlfriend (now fiance). We loved this resort! We are actually having a hard time finding a comparable resort for our honeymoon. Stay here. Get a Preferred Club room as the perks are well worth it. The Preferred Lounge is a great place for a drink before dinner! You will NOT be dissapointed!

I just returned from a vacation here at Secret Silver Sands. It is the third all inclusive resort I have been to in several years. The staff here is wonderful and the rooms are top notch. Everyone we talked to was absolutely wonderful. The spa staff (Sean, Aacovic, and Sylvia) were very helpful in making the experience truly relaxing. While we enjoyed the sun by the spa pool, they came out and placed cucumber slices on our eyes and a cooling towel across our faces. Wow.
The Japanese restaraunt (Himitsu) was the best on site food we found. We saved it for our last night there, and wished we hadn't because we would have eaten there more often during the week.
Renan, in the World Cafe, made use crickets out of banana leaves on his last day while we were there just because. What a pleasant place to be.
Activities galore, morning yoga was terrific.
Really what else can I say.

My husand and I were on 2 weeks holliday at the hotel in januar 2012. We have newer had such good time in a hotel. Service and staff were the best. The food ind the restaurants so good we cound't fit our cloths at the end of the holleday :-) Ewen the food we got at roomservice was nice and hot and luxurius. Can only say the best of this hotel. Wish to come back.
