Stayed in this Hotel for three nights on a B&B Basis at the beginning of June.
It had apparently been closed for a month at the completion of the Ski Season for some redecorations to be carried out - though not a great deal appeared to be "new" or "newly decorated".
Reception and Public Rooms appeared to be on the "dingey" side and some "light on the subject" would have been nice.
Our Room was on the fifth floor, and was at the back of the Hotel and very close to a road, which was certainly used as a "rat run" judging by the huge amount of traffic noise of a morning/evening - even through double-glazed windows.
The Room was very basic, rather small and pokey with hardly enough room to walk around the two beds. The Bathroom was acceptable. Furniture, one desk, two chairs and bed-side tables, had certainly seen "better days" and were worn and in good need of a varnish!
Obviously used more in the Winter by the Winter Sports fraternity, where "Guests" spend all day on the Slopes - and handy to get a shower and get your head down! Not to enjoy "luxurious" surroundings to sit in comfort and enjoy reading a book or relaxing!
Breakfasts were somewhat "plastic" with Croissants and Coffee (from a machine!) not tasting "quite right" - but there was certainly sufficient to eat buffet-style if you wanted more.
The Rooms, and the remainder of the Hotel were however kept spotlessley clean.
Wouldn't return there - and according to Friends who live locally, there are far better Hotels in the Village of the same Three-Star Category at much the same price.
Hope this helps prospective guests in the future...........
