Stayed with friends for a 5 day ski holiday. Booked through Last Minute 2 days before departure but disappointed to find the hotel was not in the resort we had chosen Soldeu.
The facilties in the hotel were absolutely great and the food was to die for. We stayed half board and found the standard of a very high quality - steak, smoked salmon etc. All meals are buffet style. Breakfasts would suit all tastes and really set you up for a day on the slopes. The hotel has a very international feel, all staff could speak adequaqe English and other visitors were mostly Spanish, French and Russian. The pool is very small, more of a plunge pool. The sauna is in each changing room so not good for couples.. There is free access to the Ice Palace just across the road but we did not use this.
The village Canillo is very small with a couple of shops bars and restaurants - no apres ski that we could find as most places were closed from 4-7pm. The hotel povided flasks of hot soup for when you returned from skiing.
The rooms are a little small and far to hot so turn off radiators when you arrive! All the facilities of a five star area available - room service, mini bar, lots of toiletries provided.
We would certainly return to this hotel even though it was a trek to Soldeu there is access to the gondola lift just 150metres away

My children (17 and 10 yrs old) and I spent a week in this Hotel, from 26th Dec.2008 to 3d Jan.2009. We went by car, there's parking available, near the telecabine, that costs 12€ per day; there is also a free outdoor parking lot just around the corner.
We shared a triple room and I must say the room was so little for 3 that I was very disapointed with it. In fact this is the only negative point Hotel Ski Plaza gets, under my point of view. Very well decorated, both rooms and public areas, the hotel is as lovely and cosy as it can be. The breakfast and dinner buffets are great, with so wide choice that you can have different meals every day. The staff is friendly and helpfull. It's a family hotel so you should expect children all over. We spent the New Year Eve there: a nice Gala Dinner that included, after the meal, live music, dancing and drinks. They have a Ski rental in the hotel that is a good option. The hotel is 200mts away from the telecabine. The Palau de Gel (Ice Palace) is in front of the hotel and as a guest of this hotel you can go there as much as you want. It was a wonderful ski week and I'm really happy I picked this hotel.

Recently took a large ski group from the US to stay at the Ski Plaza. Excellent hotel with the most helpful and nice staff you'll ever meet. The rooms are excellently appointed with all the amenities, even a phone by the loo! Loved the pool and jacuzzi area (altho the jacuzzi water was a little suspect looking after the bubbles died down! We avoided that one like the plague after that!) The food here, both the breakfast and dinner, was all buffet and was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! What an array and almost all good. I would definitely recommend this hotel without reservation. The only caveat is the transportation system to get around the different ski towns is the worst I've ever seen. Expect to lose a day total in waiting for busses. My recommendation-take a taxi!!

went to andorra to catch the last of skiing this year. my friend reccomended me the ski plaza and we were very pleased with it.

the rooms were modern, although the décor can best be described as "alpine"

food on the buffet was very good... wide selection at breakfast, and also the evening meal... fresh meat prepared infront of your eyes.

only down point would be the amount of children at that point in the year... great if you're a parent, i suppose.
