On a girls trip to Tuscany, we stayed at the Il Borgo di Vescine for 4 nights. I cannot stress enough how welcome we felt when we arrived from Florence. And to let you know how easy it was to find, we only had the website information for directions and no map. Maybe it was a first timers mistake, but the road signs are easy to understand.
I still cannot believe how lucky we were to have stayed there. A wonderful experience! Our first night we enjoyed the wine tasting and our first true Tuscan meal...truffle pasta, florentine steak, creme carmel and the best chocolate raspberry cake (we even order it again! yes that was 3 desserts). We were so full, tired and very happy.
Our second day was just to relax and enjoy...pool side lunch with wine, honestly it doesn't get better. We made friends with fellow travels and enjoyed the company of the staff. Vescine was a great location to stay at and venture out to surrounding towns. It was always a treat to come back at the end of the day and enjoy some wine. Upon leaving we were sad to have to say goodbye not only to our villa but the staff.
Honestly, it surprises me that people complained about anything. I am not the type of person to complain, but I cannot think of anything negative to say about this place. Everyone was more than willing to assist us with any request we had.
Two girls from Canada with no knowledge/language skills...no issues travelling Tuscany.
