“Unforgettable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

We was in the hotel just for one day, but since the first time we found one place out of the time ... a charme castle on the hills of Chianti with amazing garden and flowers and a winery with more than friendly people ... where we toke a good tasting with Andrea who was like an old friend ... thank you so much! ... I hope to go back very soon!

“Only one to Charge”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

This was the only winery to charge for a tasting and you only got to try 4 wines. I understand that its a big company, but when you are competing with 1000 other wineries that let you try all their wine for free its hard to go back to the one that charges 5 euro per tasting. The wine was good and they had some different varieties, but still not worth the 10 euro for my husband and I to taste.

“Incredible, Passionate, Friendly, Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

On tour through Tuscanny we staid at Viscine. There we met Vincenzo. We were lucky that he had the time to give us an extensive tour through the winery, explaining the process to make top wines.
Vincenzo is incredible, he knows everything about wine and is very committed to making quality wines.
After tasting the wines we were impressed by the excellent taste.
We will definitely come back next year.

“Highlight of our trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2011

We were in the Chiani area in May 2011, and we had a lovely visit at Vescine, from start to finish. After seeing the great reviews on TripAdvisor, I emailed to arrange a tour, and Andrea emailed me back promptly and was very friendly and accommodating to our schedule. When we arrived at Vescine, we were warmly welcomed, given an extensive tour, and then sat down for a sampling in a cellar more than 1000 years old! The wine pours were very generous, as were the snacks. Andrea was a great host, and even provided us with restaurant suggestions for afterwards (although we were so stuffed we didn't really need them!). The prices were very reasonable, and nothing seemed pushy or rushed at all. The olive oil is excellent as well. We would definitely recommended a visit to Vescine to anyone! Thanks Andrea!

“Great wine - better staff!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

The Vescine hotel/wine store is about 2 km from the villa we rented and we stopped in for a wine tasting. Vincenza was great AND FUN! As a winemaker, he knows his stuff. However, even more important, he knows people and how to help guests have a great time. We ordered three cases of the Riserva to be shipped home!

The next day (today!) we visited the Castell Vecchio, where the Vescine wine is produced. Andre gave us a great tour of this 1000-year-old facility and we had another great wine tasting. What a wonderful set of experiences! We highly recommend these visits to everyone!

The wine tasting and tour are free if you buy over 50 Euros worth of wine (which we easily surpassed). There are set hours for the tour (10:30 and 5:00) but we saw other people come in at other times and they were given a tour.
