I have stayed here 3 times now and absolutely love it. Mike and Inka are fab hosts and cannot do enough for you. The apartments are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely and safe for the children. We always hire a car for 6 or 7 days in the middle of the holiday as there is so much to see - a trip up to the mountains is a must - views are unbelievable. The nearby waterpark is also lovely. Have eaten in most of the restaurants down on the sea-front and have always had good food. I have to say that I agree with one other reviewer here in that I try not to visit when there are large groups there (Mike will always let you know if you ask). I experienced this one year and it did put a slight dampener on things.

The accommodation is excellent wth all the facilities you would expect and the pool is brilliant with a separate pool for little ones. The local area has many excellent tavernas and the local bus service to Chania is regular and inexpensive. Local Taxis are reasonably priced and from the bus station in Chania you can catch an extremely comfortable (and inexpensive) coach to most places on the Island. The variety of scenery, from beach to mountain is unrivalled anywhere and places worth a visit are Paleachora, Knossos, Rethymnon, Prevelli, and for the extremely fit - The Samaria Gorge to name but a few.
I enjoy fishing and Michael has plenty of tackle for the angler to use whilst on holiday - at no extra cost!!!

my family and i have been visiting these apartments at least once a year for the last 10 years. it is such a relaxing holiday and it feels like staying with family, michael and inka and their family are a huge part of our holiday and i can't wait to see them again soon. the apartments are ideally placed for exploring the island and close to transport links to chania and surrounding towns. the pool is lovely and the food available at the apartments is great. what more can you want from a holiday - you chill out as soon as you reach the place. i travel all over the world but still come back year after year to the alexandros - that in itself says it all. nicky xxx

The owners were wonderfully friendly and the accomodation was extremely comfortable. They tried really hard to encourage guests to relax and socialise.

Location really good for public transport in Chania itself. Chania very interesting city.

Unfortunately our holiday was almost ruined by a problem family with a very rude young daughter. It seems they were part of a large group of people staying there and were regular visitors to these apartments.

The owners had a very difficult task as I am sure they were aware of the problem but then again had to give priority to their regular guests.

We would definately stay again but would be wary of booking if a large party of people were staying there.
