we stayed in january 2012 after having "won" a weeks stay, a condition being we would attend a half day presentation by silverpoint. i requested a 1 bed apt and paid for english breakfast for 7 days to be taken in the little italy restaurant on site. i also paid for "VIP" transfer from the airport, which was just a taxi at a little more than the normal fare, but never mind
we arrived at the hotel 7.30pm sunday and then it began to unravell.
our 1 bed apt was a studio and the response from reception was "you are with silverpoint see them not us".next morning before breakfast we did that and were told "accomodation was not guaranteed".we insisted and they said they would try to find a 1 bed apt for us.
we went for breakfast and were told the system had changed the previous week and we would have to pay little italy direct for each breakfast.
back to reception again and were directed to the next hotel along , the beverley hills heights. we walked to this hotel ony to find they would not be serving breakfast until 10am (a further 45 minutes) " but the beverley hills club further down is serving now". we did eventually manage breakfast but after the same journey and the uphill 15 minute return the second day we gave in and bought cereals and milk and stayed in the studio apartment.
you will see references to cardiac hill in other posts, it is well named.
we attended the presentation on the tuesday afternoon, do beware ,it is a hard sell by very determined and competant people. we did however manage to get them to offer a 1 bed apt by interrupting the presentation so many times by complaining of the lack of progress with finding an apartment and sorting out the meal arrangements.
the presentation took 4 hours to the point i terminated it and bailed out otherwise we may still have been there.
we transferred from the studio and enjoyed the next few days, this resort has lots of facilities for couples and families , a large main pool a smaller quiet pool, good staff at the bar and restaurant and good food too.there is an on-site general store with reasonable prices inc. wine and beer. i would stay around los christianos again but this was a little too far out.
oh by the way, silverpoint bless them, refunded the cost of the breakfasts we didn't take.
their presentation was dogged but their customer service was very helpful
