We stayed in Barranco in January and enjoyed our stay. The bungalow isn't very big which was a bit dissapointing because the pictures don't really show that but for sleeping and a place to store your clothing and other belongings it's fine. The rooms are tidy but there is no cleaning in the weekends which didn't work out for us as we had some problems with the shower being a bit strong and the shower curtain a bit weak. A nice place for a short stay but not great and we did hear some people who had an appartment at the front that the noice from the pub below can be very loud but they got changed very easily so the staff is quite helpfull and it's nice they check who comes into the complex at night.

Great clean complex. Not too big. Basic but clean, nice pool. Not for the teenagers as there is a strict no entry policy without confirmation that you are staying there after 2am.
Pool small but good and deep. Quite quite poolside, depending on who is staying obviously, but no boom boxes etc allowed, so you can chill.
Please try chinese buffet (turn left on exiting hotel and walk 10 yards) 'Pekin House' or something, really great value, crispy duck the best Ive had in years, we must have had a few birds between us at starters....mmmm
Great location for all the usual Playa things, so you can make your own choices, would rec to anyone who has a brain cell. Great for the fun luvin 30's and 40's, not for the beer swillin louts...Enjoy

Friendly helpful staff, extremely clean rooms (cleaners worked Christmas Day) and big enough for a two week holiday, there was a disturbance with a British guest who thought it would be fun to take a dip in the pool at 4am - absolutely no nonsence - police were called as she refused to 'behave', fair play I say, she wasnt being quiet and there were small children in the apartments, the only grumble would be that there was no sun on a majority of the pool, but this is Winter so obviously this isnt all year round - the pool is heated so it isnt that unpleasant and to sunbathe you can go to the top of the appartments and the sun is there all day. Great location everything was walkable within 20 minutes - The Patch, Veronicas, Irish Corner and the Beaches, taxi rank outside The Spar (very reasonable prices) across the road, cost us 5Euros to get a taxi to Los Christianos beach - and took 30 minutes to walk back, quiet at night times, and they dont hike the prices up at Christmas - the one thing could of done without is the Lucky Lucky men, just be firm and say no, but if you go to The Safari complex they are not aloud on there.

After reading some bad reports we was abit worried about what we was walking into,But fear not if you have booked to stay here then its great value for money yes the rooms are basic but clean and tidy and when we arrived we found out that tv have been put in the apartments only spanish channels but you do get sky news.Did not have any any problems with the spiral staircase and i carried the cases up and down.The cooker is very basic but easy to use but who goes on holiday to cook,The staff where all very friendley and helpfull.English bar across the road called the giddy goose great food,If you are planning on doing your own cooking bring as much food with you from home as possible ( bacon,sausages,tinned ham,tin corned beef,cheese,packet soups,oxos basic food) the supermarkets charge a fortune even if you buy the cheaper spanish brands and the beer has gone very expensive its alot cheaper up the road in los cristianos.
