We stayed at The Beverly Hills Heights for one week from 4th November until the 11th November 2011. My husband and I travelled with my parents who are members of RCI, we exchanged into this resort for our weeks holiday. We are always very pleased with any RCI resort we holiday in as the gold crown standard is normally high and consistant, this was not quite the case here. On arrival at resort we were warmly welcomed and shown to our apartment, we were allocated a duplex apartment (J615) that overlooked the pool area. We were very happy with the apartment, it was not completed to such high standards as other gold crown resorts we have stayed in but it was spacious and light and very clean. The two bedrooms were downstairs and we had 3 bathrooms which was great, we were a group of 4 adults and there was lots of room and the balcony was a good size. We would normally expect a dishwasher and washing machine in the apartment and normally towels are refreshed every other day and none of this was present. Towels were changed once during our week stay which I thought was poor for a resort of this category. The whole resort was very tidy and clean, the pool area was lovely and not very crowded which we liked. The downside with this resort is that there is nothing here apart from a bar 10.00AM-6.00PM. We did know before coming that it was quiet and that did not bother us, we are young and like to go visit other places but do like it quite around the pool and very few children, which this resort offered. It just got a bit frustrating that everything happened at The Beverly Hills Club next door, could not even get WI-FI connection at the heights had to go next door! Really they should of just made the two resorts one. The evening entertainment was pretty poor in the Beverly Hills Club & the nightclub, disco inferno was like going to Butlins, again, not what you would expect for gold crown status. We went to Hollywood Mirage everynight for a late night drink after our meal, this resort was much better. This is another gold crown resort, a sister resort to the other two, but it was a higher standard than the other two. The three resorts should be to the same standard and they are not. We looked around an apartment in Hollywood Mirage and the finish was much better than that in the heights. I think RCI need to look at the ratings again, as I feel heights and club should be downgraded. We had a really enjoyable week as we had a car and went off to Siam park, Lorro Park, Mount Tiede and Los Gigantes, there is lots to visit. The walk from the resort down to the beach is pleasant, your on holiday no need to rush, lots of bars and shops to look at or go in on your way down to the beach or back. The hill is quite steep walking back, but all of Tenerife is hilly so you just have to accept this and get on with it, it's not that bad, just take it steady and it's fine. Bianco restaurant just down the hill from the resort is one I would recommend, very nice Italian cuisine. Bella Roma across the road from the resort was also good for food, the Paella was good. Overall The Beverly Hills Heights is great as a base as the accommodation is good, but that's it. We visit Tenerife quite regularly but won't be exchanging here again.
