“Fourth Year Running!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Stayed at Parque Santiago 3 for the fourth year running, as we book private we Know what we get, Two studios over looking the pool, Value for money you can not fault it £345 per studio including transfers. Maid service to change linen every four days, you look after your own room. Weather was great averaging 25 degrees. MY only niggle this year is there is building work happening on some rooms to be improved, it would have been nice to have known that,, but after a while we got used to it.

We were on a major budget this year, so did use self catering facilities, I can thoroughly recommend Macedonia Supermarket , puts English prices to shame fresh steak enough for 4 people equivalent to £3.00.

Did eat out occasionally and can recommend the complex bar in the mall who kindly provided take away, when my husband was not to well, we could not be bothered cooking.

Railway tavern still great for pub quizzes, the strip within five mins walk for singers etc.
North and South at Los christionas is the place for Sunday lunch. There is another strip and I always forget the name of all of them, but there all English and great for cheap cocktails and food.I think there is one called Rovers Return on it.

I certainly would not recommend Aberdeen Steak house for breakfast, we were the only ones in, all food were cold, never came to see us and not chance to change it, but if HOT and it was NICE service what a bargain at 299 euro for hot breakfast and a drink. so go to the strip at £3.25 for a hot breakfast and pay for your drink.

The beach near Los christionas is lovely.

Room Tip: Pool views are the best, as road ones are noisier, if self catering request a microwave!

“Parque Santiago 3 - Lovely but noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Stayed in a studio apartment for 3 which was a decent size. small low wall separated the two single beds from the sofa bed which was good for a little privacy. Wine, fruit, and water on arrival which was a nice touch. Sign said maid service twice per week but they seemed to be happy to clean it every day if we put the sign on the door. Free wifi in reception area if you have your own ipod/laptop/phone otherwise you need to pay to use their computers which is quite expensive.

Pool area was lovely although water seemed a bit cold. Seemed to be enough sunbeds most of the time. slides looked great for the kids, gym seemed to have a few different machines. Beach at los cristianos is excellent. Massage available in rooms below gym.

We were unlucky with our room 4124 gran canaria building. The balcony faced onto the main road which meant no sunshine and plenty of buzz - not always welcome. We did ask if we could be changed to poolside but was advised this was almost impossible although they could see if there were other side street rooms available.

The worst part was the building works. We woke at 8am with a mixture of drilling and smell of adhesive. I think they were replacing the tiles on the entire ground floor. I know this can't always be helped if they want to improve the place but they could have pre-warned us. We wouldn't have drunk so much the night before.

Overall though I would say it is a nice place and would return but I think it could be a bit hit and miss what room you are allocated.

Room Tip: For sunshine in the balcony and a peaceful night sleep you really need to try and request poolside i...

“Parque Santiago 3- Brilliant Complex.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

My family and I traveled to Tenerife for Christmas/New Year and we stayed at Parque Santiago 3 as we have for many years. We've never had any problems at all its excellent.Amazing firework display on new years eve.

Apartment: We rent an apartment every year , it's the best way because you don't need to rely on Parque Santiago 3 to put you in a good apartment. It means you know exactly where you wil stay, what floor, what view you have etc. We always stay within the Complex and its great. Never had any trouble sleeping at all.

Security: Is to the highest standard in this Complex. There are always security/guards walking around from morning to night. Even when we come back to the Complex late at Night they are walking around and theres more than just one. It's good to know your in safe hands.

Pool area:Lifeguards around the pool keep an eye on everything make sure everyone is safe. The pool area is massive in this complex. The pools are salty and can be quite cold but once your in its lovely. The jacuzzi is excellent and the kids waterpark is great for the young children. There are always plenty of loungers so no need to be out at all hours of the morning putting out towels. The gardens in the complex are very well kept. There is also two table tennis tables behind the Gym which are great to keep the young ones and the older ones entertained for a few hours. The Table tennis equipment can be obtained at the Reception. The Gym is done to a very high standard and always looks Busy.

Food/Bar area: Within the Complex there are a few Restaurants. The main one at the pool is the Happy Stable. They have a wide range of food available. We had breakfast here once or twice but it can be quite expensive compared to if you go out of the complex down around las vistas/los cristianos. We usually had breakfast in The Rovers Return which is a restaurant/pu along a row of other pubs near the Compostella. Full English cost 3euro each and it is very tasty. If you get a bit peckish during the day the hot dogs in the restaurant surrounding the pool are very tasty and not too expensive. In the underground shopping centre there is another restaurant that does lovely food. There is also the Juice Bar in the complex aswel. It is open all day until 1am. They do all sorts of cocktails/milkshakes/ice creams/drinks etc.It can be quite expensive though but I guess this pays for the on going maintenance work. They have a happy hour from 7pm-9pm this is great value always a great atmosphere and Tommy the barman is Great with everyone, keeps the kids entertained and ourselves, well worth a visit. There is 3 pool tables at this area.

Entertainment: The main entertainment is in the underground shopping centre just under reception. They have lots of varied acts every night from singers to entertainers to dancers. Around the pool area itself there is no nightly entertainment probably because of the surrounding apartments. In reception there are 4 computers and it's a Wifi area. There is plenty of entertainment outside the complex so not a problem.

Area: It's fantastic, the beach is right on Your doorstep so whether your a beach person or a pool person it's all catered for. Once the sun has gone down it's lovely to walk along the promenade. There are a lot of shops around selling all sorts some can be quite expensive but there are bargains too. The restaurants surrounding the complex can be pricy but less than a 5 minute walk to the right of the complex and lots of value for money to be found. There is mini golf across the road its about 7 euro a person for 18 holes and its really good fun.

Supermarket: The main supermarket is the one across from the Reception. Lots of variety of brands in there but it can be quite expensive depening on what your buying. If your staying for more than a week there are lots of cheaper supermarkets around to buy things in bulk along with English branded products. For everyday things they are reasonable prices but the crisps/chocolate is expensive in there.

Maintenance: Everytime we are here there is something new going on. They are always working making the place better. The cleaners do an excellent job and the pool area is washed down every morning. All the staff are always friendly never had a problem.

All in all this is a fantastic complex and we will keep returning.
Siam Park and the off road quad centre are great days out.
The Parque de la Paz strip is great for entertainment.
The Vista Sur restaurant is great for any food especially if you like Steak- give this place a try and The Rovers Return has great food and the people who work there are great entertainment.
Definitely well worth a stay here. It's a beautiful complex.

Room Tip: Book privately instead of with the Complex if You can it avoids any problems with room locations etc...

“Parque Santiago III for Christmas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

When we arrived we were very pleased with our apartment. It was big and had an awesome balcony. Turns out t overlooked the main party street so was incredibly noisy. Next morning we requested a change and it was done with no hassle or fuss. Great service. The whole complex is great and has everything we needed. The complex itself is not as cheap as other places so it is worth venturing out. We travelled around the island in a hire car and did our shopping at Carrefour in Santa Cruz - much cheaper. The pools were excellent but the salt water pool was a bit colder than the actual sea. The sunbathing area was well appointed and the kids pools were fab. My advice would be - give Parque Santiago a go and don't be afraid to explore the island as it has lots to offer. Get to the pool area early if you want a lounger. If you have a hire car and want to park between PSIII and PSIV then arrive at around 4pm when some of the staff leave. Finally look into the cost of booking directly with PS an doing it all separately. It might just be cheaper than a package deal.

Room Tip: Pool view or views of hotels. Defo not views of the street unless you are going to party every night...
