“Parque Santiago III for Christmas”

When we arrived we were very pleased with our apartment. It was big and had an awesome balcony. Turns out t overlooked the main party street so was incredibly noisy. Next morning we requested a change and it was done with no hassle or fuss. Great service. The whole complex is great and has everything we needed. The complex itself is not as cheap as other places so it is worth venturing out. We travelled around the island in a hire car and did our shopping at Carrefour in Santa Cruz - much cheaper. The pools were excellent but the salt water pool was a bit colder than the actual sea. The sunbathing area was well appointed and the kids pools were fab. My advice would be - give Parque Santiago a go and don't be afraid to explore the island as it has lots to offer. Get to the pool area early if you want a lounger. If you have a hire car and want to park between PSIII and PSIV then arrive at around 4pm when some of the staff leave. Finally look into the cost of booking directly with PS an doing it all separately. It might just be cheaper than a package deal.

Room Tip: Pool view or views of hotels. Defo not views of the street unless you are going to party every night...

I stayed on the topfloor apartment 6004, two bedrooms. The rooms where clean and big and the balcony was even bigger with view to the sea and street also. with sunlounger and table and chairs a very lovely place with loads of sunshine all day long. The Restaurant near the pool serves very nice food, We went there a lot for lunch and it was allways nice and a lot of food. The big swimmingpool was freezing but the smaler one was okay to get in and have a swim. Everything was clean and people where very helpfull. The only negative thing i found was the noise all evening long . In the shopping centre under the hotel there is music and shows from 8.30 to 11.30.As i was with my parents we watched in the evening tv and it was impossible to listen to it.If you dont like noise dont book that room.

Room Tip: rooms with seaview are maybe not that noisy

i have been to this complex in september and have read the other reviews of the other travelers ,that also stayed on elhero and lagomera .they do not lie aboutthe noise .it was shoking to say the least .i am taking the advice of another traveler to this complex and have booked an appartment private and really happy about it .if you got the poolside you are lucky.we did ask for change but did not get it and being a carrer for 2 people i did need the rest .if you book with jet2 please use the number provided on your forms as when you get home they say its your own fault..booking agents are used to place you .

Room Tip: do not take the road side .check it out first .

“Parque santiago 3 : we will be going back.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Before we went on our holiday i contacted ps3 to let them know that our holiday had turned into our honeymoon as we had a shotgun wedding in November. They said that they would sort something nice out for us, lets just say they never and ill leave it at that.

The apartment we stayed in was facing the big Greek hotel next door with a slight sea view, room number 2079. this was a very quiet area but it was the other end of the hotel from the kids pool with lots of steps to get there. The room was a good size and very clean, the kitchen area was small but had everything we needed to make snacks and some breakfast. We didn't see one cockroach in the room witch was a blessing to my wife.

The pool area was amazing, couldn't ask for more apart from the salt water pool which is no good for teaching my 3 year old how to swim. The kids pool is great and me lad spent hours most days playing in there (even though its only for 4 and up). the only problem i had that only happened once was kids going into the pool and on the slides with no wrist bands, if it would of caused my lad to have to que for the slides i would of made a complaint. The amount of sunbeds around the pool is more than enough.

The area ps3 is in is very nice buy a bit to stuck up for a hotel which is so great for family's, there is nothing to do for kids around the place apart from the golf across the road, but walk 20 mins up the road and there is more family orientated bars. also the prices for food around there area is a bit of a rip off. you can get the same standard food for half the price ten minutes in any direction.

All in all this place is great but i would love to move it more into playa de las americas. but even so, we will be looking at booking again for next year.

Room Tip: dont ask for a room because they will stick you were ever they want anyway.

“Great location. Cheap and very cheerful stay”

I booked Parque santiago with Monarch after getting the best room rate for a 6 night pre cruise stay. Based on the reviews before I went (10th Dec) I hoped it would be ok and I couldnt have asked for more for the price we paid. We normally go to Greece so are used to basic but these are anything but. We were initially offered a room overlooking the main road but thanks to trip adviser and the comments left by others I knew this would be noisy so asked if there was anything else available. They gave us a choice of 5 other studios and we plumped for one on the side road between iii and iv. I agree that it could be noisy ie emptying of bins early morning and some of the apts were being worked on whilst we were there so some building noise but we lived with it and it did not affect our enjoyment. The pools were great and there were lots of sunbeds available. We were greeted also by a lovely basket of fruit and some wine! A quick walk and you are in the centre of everything with supermarket etc. Would definitely return for a cheap break!

Room Tip: Ask if you can see the map of the rooms location before agreeing to take and plump for something dow...
