“Good Hotel”

We have just returned from a week's all inclusive holiday at the Turbo club. The appartments were spacious and clean. The heated pool was very nice and warm. The food was good- my family especially enjoyed the days that king prawns and mussels were available. The night entertainment was ok, however, our six year old son loved the mini disco in the evenings.

Went to these apps 14/01/2012 and the weather was hot hot hot, The apps themselves are very big and as the holiday is an all inc it still has a kitchenette and a fridge. The apps are cleaned 3 times a week, safes are rented @ 25 euros a week but you get 10 euro back, i would recomend a safe as the back door to the appartment we satayed in wasnt the most secure. The food was ok, meat, fish, veg, pasta, bread, cake and icecream, its not the greatest but me and the wife never went hungry ( the money you save on drink you could afford a meal or two outside) The pool is very nice and, for a better word, refreshing, but you will get in if its as hot as it was when we went. Staff were great, the girls work very hard, the entertainment was pretty bad, a very loud guy day and night. Supermarket attatched to the apps is well stocked, a small fairground 20 mins walk away and on the Sunday just past it was a huge boot sale, just behind the apps on a Sat and Wed i think was a huge market, you are about 40 mins from the beach but a taxi cost 3-4 euro and takes 5 mins, posh shops along the beach front to soend all your money in too. If you like drag artists go to sparkles in the Yumbo center, but be prepared to see a lot of gay men and women, good shops in the Yumbo. Wer are thinking about going back again next years so it cant be all bad and as we only paid £320 each for an all inc i thought it was great

“Enjoyed once again”

November 13th 2011. This was our 4th visit to The Turbo Club. And once again we had a lovely relaxing week just me and my hubby.
Good value for money. £700 for the both of us everything included, bags, flights, tranfers.
Would like to say thank you to the staff for helping us after we accidently locked the safe on our last day and could'nt get our passports out. They contacted the safe man to come to our Turbo Club A.S.P. and recue the passports which he did. Thought we would miss our flights.
But made it with a little time to spare.
Private tranfers we booked with the holiday were fantastic they said the taxi driver would wait has long has it would take, which he did bless him.
We will be returning to Turbo Club later this year. Fortnight in LANZAROTE in August 1st.
So take no notice of bad reviews. If you want 5 star book your £1000 aweek elsewhere.

Room Tip: Pool view on second level

“right hotel wrong location”

I have just returned from a 2 week AI holiday in maspolomas Gran Caneria. This hotel I rate highly but the location is terrible. The beach is a brisk 40 minute walk but there is a free bus 3 times a day. The evening entertainment is basic to say the least, certainy the worst I have seen. There are better resorts futher along the coast and P.Morgan ant P.Rico are where I spent most of my days.Very pretty. If I ever return to Gran Caneria that is where I'd stay.To sum up,nice hotel wrong place.

Room Tip: Try to get a balcony where the sun shines

“Don't listen to other 'moaning reviews'”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My husband and I had a weeks holiday here last week. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive but nevertheless looking forward to a nice break and a bit of sun!
Well, we certainly got the sun, gorgeous everyday except the last when we had a bit of cloud. As for the hotel, could not fault it, you get what you pay for! The rooms are lovely, clean and well maintained. Although, we had a cooker in our room but no saucepans or a kettle! I improvised with the little steel jug which worked well on the electric hob!! (I took my own coffee as i like me home comforts!!) The food was really good 6 days out of 7, the other day was just me being fussy! Breakfast is what you would expect, more continental than full English, but we survived on beans on toast! The alcohol is weaker than in the Uk 25% vodka, bacardi, rum etc but you just have more of it, simples! My husband enjoyed the local beer.
Anyone who books this expecting the Ritz or the Hilton will be disappointed, but you don't pay these prices for them do you? I would recommend going to anyone if you are looking for a no frills, cheap sunny break. The location is great although a bit quiet around the actual hotel. Taxis are cheap. Go to the Yumbo and experience a Sparkles Show, Great night out.
As for our last day when All Inclusive finishes at 12, We were being picked up at 3 so didn't have long to wait, we just made some rolls up at breakfast, a few boiled eggs and some fruit, and hid them (as you are not supposed to take food out of restaurant!! - naughty) and we had a picnic by the pool. Easy!
