“DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY”

During my stay at this so called 4 star hotel, the only word that can explain my experience is "DISGUSTING". I have been going on All Inclusive holidays with my family for the past 18 years and this has to be the worst one ever. I have never written a review before, but I have to on this hotel. The food was dangerous, there was blood in the chicken, the bacon was raw, and so on...... One night they had a barbecue night and all the meat was undercooked and awful. Staff were rude, no enterainment what so ever, same staff running bar and restaraunt, only one bar in hotel, which was outside. Toilets for the hotel, was outside and only one toilet each. Childrens play area was a joke. We had a late flight home on the last day and the management came looking for us to remove our all inclusive bands at 12 noon so we would have to pay for any food and drink from thereon. As if we would eat any of their food anyway. Hotel was not near any shops or restaraunts what so ever, so every where we wanted to go, we had to order taxis. I would not give this hotel 1 star let alone 4. The only good thing was the bungalows that we stayed in, they were alright. But dont bother with the extra third bed, because it was literally like sleeping on concrete, honestly, so our daughter just slept on the settee which was far more comfortable. Only one english channel on TV, whic was sky news. The cleaners were the only staff their that were nice. So book somewhere else, if I was you. ...

“A Spanish 4 star hotel but a British 3 star.”

We visited the hotel at Christmas time and were welcomed by Rosie the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is split into individual bungalows which are very clean and spacious.
The pool is lovely however it was freezing!!! As not a heated.
The only thing letting this hotel down was the food.
We were all inclusive and the food is pretty average, lots of choice however cold if didnt eat until later on in the evening. Breakfast is poor! I did excepted a hot cup of tea or coffee served when requested however a vending machine was our only option.
The staff are very friendly and extremely hard working. If they invested a little more in their food offering and provided fresh tea and coffee i would visit again. I advise not to go all inclusive, board only or bed & breakfast at a push.
Overall i enjoy our stay and would stay their again on a b&b basis.

I stayed here for 2weeks all inclusive just before xmas 2011,accommodation clean and ample, food was excellent and lots of choices including freshly grilled fish and meats at most meal times, pool was unheated ,but clean, nice quiet resort ,no entertainment on site.TV was large flat screen ,but only spanish and german channels ,with sky NEWS in english.WIFI was provided but mostly needed to go outdoors to access it.Perfect for a relaxing holiday and a good base for exploring.I would advise taking games and perhaps a small DVD player .Most enjoyable holiday and would book again ,staff very friendly, all round a good experience.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking pool could be noisier ,take a small travel kettle, for early brews,

“Bang Average”

Just returned form Gran Canaria at the Suite Hotel Jardin Dorado for Christmas, when we arrived Rosy was the receptionist at the hotel and was very helpful but she was the only person to deal with the checking in, so when busy could be a night mare.she mentioned that there would be some food for us in our rooms (cold) this was due to us ariving at 8.30 pm the food that night was awful we decided to buy some crisp etc from the vending machine which ate the money.and did not give the food out we requiredt. we then went to the Bar which closed at 9pm so had a quick drink. thinking that there would be somewhere warm to sit a relax after our flight, we were told there was no where else except for a very small room at reception which had no redemming features or atmosphere. The Bungalows were quite spacious but could really do with being updated and the bathroom showers were poor and need new shower heads as they fall off the wall whilst showering and as for the hot water well there is none after one person had been in there. the grouting could do the with a really good bleach and clean. The pillow s and beds were hard and if your a person who likes to sleep on two well hard luck, one blanket per person was allocated to each room so it felt cold during the night.
Breakfast good variety of food if you like the same thing every day.and the same for lunch except for chicken nuggets or pizza the chips were like eating cardboard. but must say the ice cream was proberly the best thing which was available between 11am and 6pm and then maybe after your evening meal which again was very boring..
The christmas evening meal we must say was the highlight of the holiday food the prawns etc very very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
If your hoping for a swim during your stay BEWARE the pool was baltic. and around the pool the music which they played was very repetative they have a taped bird song around this area which needs to be turned off its very annoying. All the staff were very friendly and really could not do enough for you even down to the cleaning staff.
A real downfall to this place is is there is nothing really in walking distance even though the its a short ride by taxi to the center of the town which costs around 4 euros, the downfall was the checking out, our flight was at 20.50 and we were not due to be picked up untill 18.15, but we need to vacate our room at 12.00 our all inclusive bands were taken off our wrists and from then, and we were expected to pay for all food and drink after this time, which is pretty poor condidering the cost of the holiday the system should be when your all inclusive that your bands stay so your able to drink and eat without the expense until your picked up, we had to wait 6 hours with two young children with no towels food or drink not even a late check out room for the children to have an afternoon sleep. we had to change clothes in a disabled toilet.as for the transfer to the airport this was good and the man was very helpful.
But sorry we will not be returning here. Not a 4 star hotel by any means

Room Tip: choose a room near the golf course,

we have just returned from grand canaria having spent xmas at jardin dorado and what a great place to spend xmas, the staff are so helpfull the bungalows are roomy and spotless and the facilitys are good allthough the pool was very cold, there is only one bar by the pool and we only had the 1 nights entertainment which was xmas day,we hired a car while we were there and getting around is quite easy but taxis are great value and cheap, the food was the only thing we didnt like as it was mainly fish or cheese or cold meats and did not cater for the english very much but allround a great place to stay and we will be going back,
