Just had a fantastic stay at the IFA Faro. You are welcomed by such friendly staff who speak so many languages, are very attentive and efficient. Hotel is ideally located right next to beach alongside famous Lighthouse of Faro Maspalomas. Rooms are spacious, very modern with all facilities you could wish for and some amazing views. I will definite recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel - nice clean accommodation. Very little provided - no soap, no shower gell or shampoo or conditioner. Arrived to find room not available for 2 hours and charged €30 to keep room from 12noon to 7pm when leaving. Busy reception - sometimes with only 1 person attending. Have to mention Monterrat and Joaquin who were exceptional on reception and excellent at their job. Breakfast very good but dinner disappointing. Very few restaurants in the area of any worth so including dinner or all inclusive is a good idea. Area expensive so bring your suncream with you. You get a voucher for €15 off a cosmetics shop which I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy in as the staff are rude and unhelpful. The hotel location is perfect but the beach is just beginning to recover and not what it was years ago when I first saw Maspalomas beach - this was the real disappointment for me. You can choose your sunbed and book it for the time you are there but everyone is so close together and the beds are unconfortable that I didn't use it after the first day. Less beds would be preferable and a fight for one would be more preferable if more room was made available around beds. Pool very clean. Stay for location not star rating and make friends with reception!

We've just had a fantastic couple of weeks at this hotel despite that we were nearly the only British couple here. Staff were very friendly from the very beginning as they gave us a meal late at night on arrival. Rooms were spotless and food had a wide variety for all tastes with a varied menu.

The hotel had a variety of entertainment we watched a magician, a couple of acrobatic acts and my partner was chosen on 2 occasions to take part in the proceedings!

Hotel was in a lovely quiet resort that has 2 Irish bars that the Brits congregated together regularly. The Maspalomas sand dunes were very hot and the gays and nudists were an interesting addition which did not stop families sharing the same beach.

We would recommend this hotel to anybody and we would definetely go back again.

We are a mature couple in our 50,s and this hotel and its position was just right for us! The food, staff, room and cleanliness I thought for the money was outstanding. We booked late so was not surprised to have a low floor side room, but the room itself was perfect big comfotable bed, big bathroom and outside two loungers and small table with two chairs. It is a small complaint that the room upgrades are so expensive, but with the weather as it was not much time spent in the rooms anyway!
It was quiet in the evenings but that suited us as well! The entertainment was,nt the best, but there again thats not what we go on holiday for! But if your looking for quiet ,good food and nice pool area and close proximity to the sea look no further!! We will be back!!
