Stayed at the hotel for ten days at the end of January, on the whole enjoyed the place as it is clean, well kept and not bad for a three star...Hotel is located in a residential area at the top of a quite steep hill, I walked down a few times but always got a taxi back up!!! Went half board as it was the only option available from the site I booked on, but probably all inclusive would have been a better option. Dinner is quite varied, salad buffet and a choice of meat or fish grilled at the moment, as well as a selection of other dishes. Weird finding chicken wings in the vegetarian buffet section...Very poor dessert menu, mostly mousses and puddings, never a solid slice of chocolate cake in sight! The staff are helpful enough, the barmen at the pool bar had a very personal sense of humor but nonetheless got on with their job. Unfortunately I did not appreciate the entertainment team's efforts at putting on shows one bit, had to leave in the middle of one - never to go back again...but on other evenings the Elvis impersonator and the parrot show proved (short but) entertaining. Pool is not heated, if you want to go for a dip pick the small pool near the reception as it seems to be a bit better...the jacuzzi is not heated either for some weird reason!!!!

We stayed here in February wanting a nice relaxing break in the sun and it didn't disappoint. The hotel itself was in a quiet residential area but there are a couple of restaurants and a spar next door. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was on the top floor and we had a nice corner balcony. The room was basic and clean. The maids came in 5 times whilst we were there for a week which was great.
We both felt that considering the hotel is 3 star, the all inclusive food was pretty good. Breakfast much better than other all inclusive resorts we've stayed at. Freshly cooked pancakes and an egg-chef? Great!

Evening entertainment was a mixed bag but after a few very generous measures...who cares?

The only negatives that I feel are worth mentioning are as follows:
On the all inclusive menu it says "Cocktails/Alcoholic cocktails" However further enquiry revealed that only pina coladas and tequila sunrises are included. The cocktails come pre-mixed out of a machine and taste vile.
The house wine is revolting!

Overall this is a really good 3 star hotel, don't expect 5 star luxuary but do expect a warm welcome, some decent grub and a clean room

Just got back from a week at the Dunas Mirrador, it is a lovely hotel very clean & comfortable. we had a pool view in block C that had the sun all morning. the food was very good especially the breakfasts & dinners. we choose to eat out twice just for a change at the chinese just at the entrance to the hotel & down the road at the grill house both were excellent value for money. the walk down to maspalomas takes about 40 mins & is a lovely walk. would definately return to this hotel it is good all inclusive hotel.

Me and Me husband have stayed at dunas mirador twice and we thoroughly enjoyed each visit and would not hesitate to return or recomment the hotel to friends!!

This time we stayed in block C425 during january 2012 with a sea view which was lovely.We went all inclusive each time we have stayed and it is worth every penny, the only down side is putting on all the weight ;)!!

They serve breakfast between 8 and half10, lunch by the pool from 1-3 or you can eat in the restauraunt between these times also depending what you fancy. cake time is between 4 and 5 o clock an tea is served between 6 and 9.There are snacks served throughout the day and the drinks between 9.30am and 11pm.The food is of excellent quantity and quality and i think that there is something for everyone to be honest.

The rooms comply with your basic needs with a comfortable bed, dressing table and bathroom with a bah/shower and balcony. There is no air con but we didnt need it but im not sure how this would be during the height of summer. The bedding and towels are changed everyday apart from thursdays and sundays which we felt is quite reasonable and you can have a safety deposit box for a small fee from reception which we did for piece of mind.

The hotel is away from everything but a easy access to the beach and shops is a taxi ride away for only 3euros which is a bargain we thought. or if you would prefer you cabn take the free bus which runs from outside the spar which is just round the corner from the hotel.

There is entertainment on each night which we thought was good to include parrot show, egle show, snake show, grease, elvis, andbingo and so on....the animation team work hard to get everone involved in activities throughout the day such as pingpong, water polo and water aerobics, dancing ect.

In mu opinion this hotel is better than a three star and a real bargain so dont listen to the bad reviews and i really suggest that you go and try it out for yourself. after all you cant please everyone and some peiople like to moan for the sake of it!!!
