Staff overall seems not concerned about hotel guests, except one guy @ the bar. Many times ignored during breakfast and dinner when asking countless times for coffee (this was the thing I just couldn't sort by myself). And tried to include calls on my bills, apologies only after I started to ask specifically about each position on bill... Room had twin bed when I was assured there will be double - uncomfortable when you are a couple. Bathroom was overall clean but definitely needs to be refreshed (lots of mold on walls, ceiling, etc.), furniture (bedside tables) would need to be repaired on replaced. At ca 8 am three times during my week stay gardener was switching on some water pump which was so loud that many quests were making complaints. Duvet is actually a blanket which is not fully covered (you can try to cover it by yourself with two sheets) but it's quite unpleasant feeling (not sure whether they wash it each time). Hairdryer was repaired twice during few days stay.
Overall nice choice of food (even when you consider breakfast only), price average as for GC, lovely garden, in quiet location, close to beach.
All rooms have "sea view" so not sure whether you need to spend etra E30/night for that - especially when nobody will guarantee you that your view won't be obstructed by building, large tree, etc. (there were 2 complaints re that during my stay).
Overall it's not bad for "Canarian standards" but have no clue why it got 5 stars (wouldn't get them on continental Europe for sure).

Please don't be put off by the negative reviews on this lovely hotel. Some people just love to moan. I have been to this hotel for the past 7 years. I first went with my husband and now return every year with my mum and 5 year old son. The hotel is very nice, lovely and clean. The rooms are very big and if you request a certain part of the hotel you normally get it. The food is fantastic so much to choose from. The pool areas are clean and the pools are a little cold but so what it's a hot country. The staff are very friendly and I have yet to meet an unfriendly one. In the quieter months the evening entertainment is not the best but there are bars and clubs just a short walk along the beach. Please don't be put off by the horrible reviews as this is really a great place. Some people just can't help but look for things to complain about. Get a life!

we arrived on sunday 22 th January at 11 o'clock after a long journey ! we had to wait 3 hours before we got our rooms, very unkind staff at the reception. In the toilet we could change our clothes to go to the swimming pool..... The rooms were nice and large, so we were satisfied.
But on the second day , our beach bag with a lot of valuable things, as for example our gsm, camera, watch, glasses, dress.... has been stolen at the swimming pool while we were sleeping , the bag was just beside us... we mentioned it at the guest relation and we got no response, not any help to look after it, they were just laughing with us and did not believe us!
the swimming pool was freezing cold... but we have to say " never again" . nice location and good food but the service and the kindness is unknown is this hotel ! Direction was never available if we asked any explanation. Very poor service for a 5 star hotel.

No heated pool freezing cold, wifi never worked, could not use in rooms just in reception, staff are not all that friendly, when we went for breakfast we never had coffee or tea we even had to get our own cuttulery! Staff in the main eating place not very helpfully, the rooms where nice but I would say three star rating, would not go back hear
