“Appalling Customer Service!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Just got back from here after a weeks stay.Weather was fantastic around 28 every day (lovely for winter)
Our welcome on reception was rude, didnt even get a hello & he couldnt have cared less, this continued throught the week, dont think they like the english!!
The bungalow was fine, basic but did the job,
Do not eat at the on site restaurant, food not cooked properly & again not very polite!
However we felt (the cleaners) here are always happy with a smile, doesnt take much.
Great island if you havent been, well worth a visit if your not bothered about ignorance & high food prices!!

“you pay for what you get .. i would stay again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

we were here the last week of march only returned home today. on arrival we were greeted by a simple hola which is fair enough if they don't speak English some of the staff are arrogant but others are cheerful and helpful i found the men were better than the woman at understanding English and at talking to you there are some better than others . the complex is spotless very clean can't fault it there the maids were in cleaning 5 times a week and towels were changed every second day we were there for 7 nights and did not see one cockroach. the beads were not that great but are sleepable the sofa bed in the kitchen/living room was the best one for me. there was no kettle when we arrived so i asked in reception but because it was late when we got in the man at reception said yes we have a kettle but you will have to get it in the morning which is fair enough as it was half 11 at night so we asked in the morning but it was a different man at reception this time and he said no kettle we don't have i don't know if he didn't know what a kettle was but we did not get one anyway. but we did go down to the faro 2 shopping center which is empty all the shops have closed but there was a market on just outside it and we managed to pick up a kettle for 2 euros. we went half board which was not great as the food was terrible the breakfast was no more than ok mainly cheese and hams you might be lucky to get some beans or even a few scrapes of dry scrambled eggs one morning. there was green beens and meatballs . they cater mainly for eastern Europeans dutch and Germans its filled with them the dinner was not the best mainly chips and watery pasta is the whack but we did get some chops and fish one night made a good change but if i am to go again i will be going self catering! you will also need to pay for the safe key think it was 11 euro a week and a deposit of 7 for the key itself . you will have to pay for the air con and tv as well . taxi's and buses are cheap 3-4 euro to playa de ingles which has more going for it than maspalomas. if you are eating out it is expensive and drinks 2 you are cheaper to have a pint of beer than a glass of coke. i think i have covered everything but if any one has any questions here is my email just incase i have missed anything out thanks for reading

“Parque Bali Reception Staff are the rudest we have ever met!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2011

To have to pass daily such unfriendly, sour faced men on reception was not a pleasant experience. They obviously do not like their job, or, perhaps English tourists. When we checked out, the man on reception made some disparaging remark about us to his colleague that was uncalled for.
We booked 'room only' and found the bungalow clean and tidy. The mattress was a little bit hard though. The children's pool was filthy - had sweet wrappers in it .

“Staff very unfriendly, unhelpful and lacked any personal job satisfaction”

If you are looking for a warm welcome with informative staff who genuinly have your holiday needs at heart don't even think about going here. We stayed here for a week and the staff were consistent in their coldness which bordered on being rude.

Complex itself ok although their was clear signs of damp in the bungalow, not particulary well decorated but functional.

Evening food shockingly bad and for 12 euros per person you would be better off with a 30 minute walk to Maspalomas or getting a taxi at around 3 to 4 euros.

Buses ok but if they are full they will not stop so you may be in for a long wait for the next one. The buses were fairly cheap but best to get a hire car as nothing to do in the vicinity of the complex.

“If you want cheap and cheerful with no expectations then this is the place for you”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2011

Staying here at the moment using there internet access. 10 mins walk to Holiday world and Faro 2(which is half empty because of the recession) and 15 mins walk along the busy main road to the beach and shops. The place is on a busy main road but doesn´t affect sleeping a road quietens down of a night. Very basic apartments, very basic food and for breakfast they ask if you can clean your own table. Breakfast is mainly european food hams cheeses bread vegatables, eggs and one or two days you may get beans and the next day get some sreaky bacon. Food very limited but as it is a 2 star you get for what you pay for and no one had a bad belly from it so was ok. First night we had a cockroach muching through an unopened packet on the kitchen side. So the next day we went to get some cleaning products and went from top to bottom cleaning the room. And touch wood no cockroaches for the rest of the stay. Reception and bar staff do not smile. Really foriegn place but all people holidaying here are very friendly. A old foreign man in his 60s walked up to my husband who is in his 30s to ask if he wanted to play tennis with him which was nice. Mainly old people here but fine with us as makes it quiet. Peaceful chilled place to stay. But i would pay more to stay somewhere else if i come to Gran Canaria again. If you don´t expect much you may be pleasently suprised. They also do room service clean 5 days a week and yes you do have a kettle and toaster in the kitchen. Tea towels and towel provided
