We didn't pay a great deal for the room and so didn't expect too much, but what we did expect was met and in some cases exceeded. The rooms are small and facilities are limited (we had no kettle), however there are lots of little extras such as a complementary bottle of merlot on arrival as well as water. There are black-out curtains in the bedrooms which are great
The cleaners are great, they work really hard as does the waiter/ barman. The receptionist during the week was a little surley, however given the good holiday and other staff, it can be forgiven as it is not representative of the hotel in general. The barman really is great.
The hotel and grounds are clean, although bed sheets and towels could do with refreshing. Also the room we were in could have done with a bit of maintenance because of chipped tiles etc. Both of us felt the beds were uncomfortable
There is a choice of restaurants and shops nearby and the beach is a short bus ride away; it is also a great base for exploring the island further. There are plenty of leaflets to help you decide if you want to go on trips which cover everything from wildlife, art and waterparks to sport as well as the obligatory glass-bottom boat trip.
