This wonderfully comfortable hotel has significant repeat business,which is no surprise.Most of the returning guests request ,and are allocated the specific room of their choice by number.Such return business can bring difficulties of exclusion to new business - it is a matter of balance - both from the management viewpoint and the guests - not always uderstood.
The food service is of a value and innovative quality well beyond its pricing and many use half board terms as a result.
Wednesday and -Sunday barbecues are truly feasts of boundless satisfaction - both to the eye and the appetite.
It is very rare in these times to witness both the owner and the General Manager in daily attendance to the welfare of the guests...............it happens here!
The wine list,evening music,spa services,treatments,gymnasium,thalasso pool,accomodation and local interest potential are all of the highest quality - to be expected in an hotel of this excellence.Those who require closer access to the beach (5 walking minutes) probably chose the wrong hotel for their tastes.
Front of house is done very well and with great enthusiasm and energy - clearly mistaken for rudeness by some past reviewers.
The housekeeping functions appear to be divided into three seperate duty schedules - which gives rise to some inconsistencies due to lack of synchronisation..........can be improved although efficient in cleaning
The pool photograph on the web site is very misleading and can be off putting suggesting severe lack of space.Not so,the pool side is open,well managed and maintained throughout the day.
This hotel has an excellent location for golf and other good local and natural interests.
The guests are typically well mannered,mature people who clearly appreciate that the hotel provides a true paradise of peace,relaxation and island exploration.
There are many holidaymakers who would find such an environment not to their liking - some have reviewed earlier.
This hotel is based on "old money"investment from a very long time ago and one would expect some traditions of courtesy and service to be sustained.....and they are!

On behalf of the entire team of the Grand Hotel Residencia I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for staying with us and for having published your impressions with regards to your experiences in our hotel.
It has been indeed a pleasure in reading through your detailed observations and excellent feedback, thank you very much for the time taken and please rest assured we all will work even harder in order to work on our areas of improvement and to increase our guest satisfaction. I took already the liberty to talk to our Executive Housekeeper in order to synchronize certain daily tasks in a better way.
Thank you for your feedback with reference to the pictures on our website regarding the swimming pool, this will be best taken care of, as our Sales & Marketing Department has already been informed.
