We have just spent 2 lovely weeks here and were really impressed with the clean and spacious villa set in such beautiful surroundings of trees and flowering bushes. We saw Hoopah birds every day! The food was fantastic as was the location because it is a short walk walk from sandy beaches and goes past a nature reserve with coots, herons and storks and the mere is teeming with fish.We loved staying here and will return for longer than 2 weeks next year. We are glad we hired a car because it enabled us to explore the fascinating interior of the island and to appreciate the mountains and undeveloped western coast. Most of all, it was nice to have a comfortable, private and roomy chalet to relax in when we just hung around and read on the patio. Brilliant!

Me and my family visited Dunas Suites in January 2012. I have only positive experience from this hotel! The service was really great, everyone in the staff was really friendly. The pools where really nice, although it was a pity that the main pool wasn't heated... Next to the main pool they had a poolbar who served warm and fresh food every day. The waiters in the poolbar where fantastic, working all day and later in the night they continued working in the bar from the disco until 12-1 o'clock.
The rooms where alright and I have nothing to complain about the cleaning.
The best in the hotel was not the food, the pool or the place. The best thing was the animationteam! I've visited alot of hotels with animation before, but this one was the best one. The Miniclub was fantastic, and also with swedish leader! My kids loved it! Only one swedish person in the team wich I found a bit wierd because the hotel was almost only scandinavians. For me I prefered the relaxed games wich was going on every day, darts and so on, The whole team was just wonderful but I would like to say one extra thank you to Elin (miniclub) and to Mederos who was working in the poolbar. Thank you guys for making our holiday the best and I hope to see you again next year!

We stayed at the Dunas suites and villas resort in January 2012 on a half board basis. The accommodation and surroundings were comfortable and kept clean. The staff were friendly and helpful however the food drastically let the resort down. I raised my concerns regarding the low temperatures of the food in the bain marie with the hotel maitre'd and the reception staff. I was told the temperature of the bain marie would be increased to ensure the food was hot. Unfortunately this never happened and the food on the hot plate was boardering on being luke warm / cold, increasing the risk of food poisoning. The food was also geared towards the scandanavian market, who were there in abundance.

The pool area is very crowded and noisy, however, the beach is within walking distance.

I would not recommend the Dunas suites for anything other than S/C or B&B (at a push) as the hotel were aware of my concerns regarding the low temparatures of food and failed to act to rectify the problem. Its only a matter of time before someone becomes ill.

Four of us stayed here at the beginning of January.Accomodation was lovely if not a bit dark, we were in rooms in the number 600's so did not really get any sun only in the middle of the day Staff excellent, animation team second to none, very enjoyable watching animation team. Pools fab, sun loungers very close together. Breakfast was excellent, everything you could ask for. Would return but would ask for a room on the same level as reception.
