We have just returned from a week in these apartments and it was fantastic. We were very lucky to be allocated a one bedroomed house. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed. The staff were lovely and very polite. The location is fantastic, just one road back from the beach. We liked it so much that although we have been back less than a week we have booked to go back again in April ! We found a lovely place to eat which was so good that we went back every night. It was called El Torro, I recomend the steaks although my husband loved the chicken in various sauces. All in all a fantastic holiday.

“Bent, broken or missing”

These apartments are very tired and worn. The cleaning staff do their best but almost every piece of fitted equipment is either damaged, has bits missing, or is long overdue some basic maintenance. The shower was particularly difficult to operate effectively. The basic level TV has some free channels in Spanish and German but you have to pay extra if you want the only English choice of Sky News (why?).
Some members of our party experienced a failure to the water supply in their originally allocated apartment and thereafter were moved to what was best described as a dark dungeon with low ceilings below the level of the adjacent road. Our own nearby flat enjoyed traffic noise from from service vehicles attending the large hotel behind us plus the early morning chatter of cleaners assembling to perform their duties before daybreak.
If the management team could overhaul these premises and raise their standards then the flats would represent good basic budget accommodation, but I cannot recommend them to anyone in their present state. There are much better options available not far away in the nearby area. Seek them out instead.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere.

“WOW!!!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

The views from our 2nd floor balcony were incredible. The location is perfect. Close to all the amenities and especially close to the beach & dunes. To be able to sit on your balcony & hear the sound of the waves crashing onto the sand and the birds calling in the dunes is worth having to endure the delivery men, rubbish collectors & taxi drivers throughout the day!!!! We stayed on the top floor directly above the reception and the (not very well stocked) supermarket. Ok, so the apartments are a bit dated and in need of some tlc and the bed linen & towels look as though they've been there since the apartments were built, but the cleaner came 5 days out of 7 and everything was clean. The pay for tv is not worth paying for as the only channel in english is sky news and even then you're not guaranteed a picture! A slight problem occured when two guys in overalls turned up with a bucket of paint at 8.30 one morning, wanting to paint the balcony - just as we were about to sit on it & eat breakfast! A complaint to reception soon sorted out the problem. The manager himself came to apologise, arranging for them to return later and kindly gave us a complimentary fruit basket with a bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience.
When I needed to fly home earlier than planned the reception staff made phone calls on my behalf and allowed me to use the hotel's computer in order to access my emails & print off my flight details.
Would I go back? Most definitely without a moments hesitation. We stayed at the Maspalomas Princess Hotel (5*? half board) 2 years ago which was lovely, but given the choice I'd choose the Oasis apartments over the Princess anytime.

“Lovely location”

Once again after reading reviews on here i was dreading going to the apartments. I really do not know what people expect when they go on holiday for the price they pay! If you want 5* then pay the prices if not stop moaning! I went with 2 girlfriends and we had an apartment on the first floor (which we had requested) and found it to be clean although quite basic. The kitchen was small (but then we didnt go on holiday to cook) and the rest of the rooms were fine. We didnt have a brillant view as we were at the back but didnt matter as on the plus side we had no one overlooking us! Apartments are about a 5 minute pleasant walk to the beach and close to all the shops and restaurants. We found the staff on reception very good and on the last day when we asked if we could keep our room on for an extra few hours there was no problem and they didnt charge us! Myself and my friends said we would go back there in the future.

“Good location!”

We stayed at these apartments with our two children. The apartments are clean, although a bit small for a family of four. We stayed in the apartments above the reception. Please be warned! We had money and a mobile phone stolen while at the pool. Which had been taken from my beach bag from underneath a sun lounger while I was sitting on it. These thieves know what they are doing. The receptionist was helpful and telephoned the police for me. Also witnessed a fight between the men who sell fruit on the beach, right outside where the pool was! When we asked around we were told that other people had trainers and jeans stolen from their balcony. Apart from that the location is good, very peaceful but only 4 euros for a taxi into Playa De Ingles, where there is a good selection of bars and resturants.(Pop in and see the gang at Murphy's Temple Bar, really friendly bunch). Good selection of eateries on the beach front in Maspalomas but we found it was cheaper in Playa De Ingles. Palmitos Park is a good day out if you have kids, lots of different animals to see and a fab dolphin show. We bought 2 for 1 deal Palmitos Park/Aqualand which works out cheaper. Aqualand good too but you do have to hire sun loungers and lockers which does bump the price a bit. Overall we liked gran canaria and would go back to Maspalomas, but would go and stay in one of the bigger hotels. We booked through low cost holidays and to be fair we got what we payed for.
