The price for the suite was 2200 kr (about 220$), so you'd think it would be a very nice room (tickets to the evening buffet and breakfast were included). The beds were fine, and the floors were clean, but there was a funny smell in the bathroom, and while there were two toilets, there was only one sink. The beds were decorated with pillows from the sofa, for some reason.

Both mirrors were dirty, to the point where it was impossible to see one's reflection in one of them. The door to the bathroom wouldn't close, which was a nuisance at night, since it was hard to be quiet.

The garage was a block away from the hotel, and we had to carry all our luggage up to the room from there. My granmother especially found this tiring. It has to be said, though, that the employees were perfectly nice and that there was nothing wrong with the service we got.

Still, for that price, I expected much more.

Stayed here on buisness during Feb 2003. The hotel is very old and very outdated. The rooms are very small, and cold in the winter. Be carefull not to get on or directly above the floors where they hold spinning classes because the noise from the music will knock your socks off! It is strange because they have buisnesses on the guest floors, massage, spinning, etc.. so your rooms are mixed in areas that the public has access to. The rooms and bathroom are very clean though, and the shower was good and hot. The controls for heat are very inadequate. They have an ok free breakfast buffet. You can walk to all the restaraunts and pubs in town. Unfortunately this is probably the best hotel in Ludvika. You are 3 hours drive from Arlanda Airport and Stockholm, so you really have no choice.
