We chose to stay at this hotel because it looked like the best option in Ludvika - and we were also persuaded by the fact that a buffet dinner was included in the room price from Monday - Thursday...or so our booking said. In fact when we turned up for dinner on the Monday evening we were told the chef was on vacation and the restaurant was closed for the summer. This didn't seem to apply to the coach parties which arrived during our stay - and who managed to be catered for somehow. Perhaps the room maids cooked for them!!

The rooms were very good, the breakfast were also good - though not the best we've had in Sweden. The staff were friendly. But not having the inclusive evening meal mid week added a large amount to our holiday spending - which felt unfair when we'd planned to eat there.

Rooms very hot - no air con and weather was warm. We managed a sauna once - but couldn't get it to work again!!

We will be frequent visitors to Ludvika to visit our son who lives there - but we will look at other options before booking GW Elektra again.

Very good hotel and nice stay for two times. very close to Ludvika Railway Station and Market area.staff is very nice and helpful and rooms are very confortable and price is dam reasonable. I like this hotel staff and services of kitchens.

This is a way overpriced property. There doesn't seem to be any other places to stay in Ludvika. We got into town late, very tired, and had to take what we could get. They told us the town was sold out due to an industrial convention that took up all the rooms and that they had only one room left. True? Don't know.

The room came with dinner and breakfast. The property is old (50's??) and doesn't appear to have been renovated. The room was clean but dated. The dinner and breakfasts were pedestrian. I will say the Swedish breakfasts, compared to other country included breakfasts, are very good. There were soft boiled eggs, fish, ham, several breads, vegetables, fruits.

The price for the suite was 2200 kr (about 220$), so you'd think it would be a very nice room (tickets to the evening buffet and breakfast were included). The beds were fine, and the floors were clean, but there was a funny smell in the bathroom, and while there were two toilets, there was only one sink. The beds were decorated with pillows from the sofa, for some reason.

Both mirrors were dirty, to the point where it was impossible to see one's reflection in one of them. The door to the bathroom wouldn't close, which was a nuisance at night, since it was hard to be quiet.

The garage was a block away from the hotel, and we had to carry all our luggage up to the room from there. My granmother especially found this tiring. It has to be said, though, that the employees were perfectly nice and that there was nothing wrong with the service we got.

Still, for that price, I expected much more.
