On the positive side:
The staff is very friendly, polite and making all efforts to assist.
And the location is very convenient if you need to get to Stockholm city center (less than 20 min by train, coming every 10 min).
Breakfast is rich (in variety, not quality), same as in all Scandic hotels, which is OK if you don't visit to many of them often (since the contents don't change, for weeks!).
But, the place is begging for renovation: the furniture, bathroom and everything in the room are very old and of non attractive design, only the lobby looks OK.
And there is also climate control only in the lobby (pay attention in case you plan to come during summer and don't like to sleep in sauna or leave the window open to the street).
Keep in mind that the rooms are not so clean and that if you come in the evening, the hotel restaurant doesn't offer much (you better get a grilled chicken from the adjacent supermarket or a burger from McD)

In a city as expensive as Stockholm Scandic Bromma represents reasonable accomodation for leisure travellers. It is right on the Stockholm's underground (tunnelbana) which provides relatively easy access to the city center (ca. 15 minute ride).

Rooms are spacious and well equipped, although, if you look at little details you can see that refurbishment is about to be necessary.

Breakfast is perfect, wide choice of hot and cold meals.

Pros:
+ friendly, helpful staff
+ delicious breakfast, excellent selection
+ five-minute-walk to Tunnelbana station (metro station) "Brommaplan"
+ cosy room
+ clean bathroom
+ PC in the lobby (free Internet access)
+ safe deposit boxes at the reception to lock away valuables
+ good value for money

Cons:
- only twin beds (no double bed)
- view to the parking lot
- at the main entrance, the snow was not cleared away (you had to be careful not to slip)

Additional Notes:
*) An extremely weird smell was coming out of the shower, so we complained at the reception. The receptionist told us that there were constructions in the basement which caused the smell. She immediately gave us a new room on the first floor.
*) The hotel has its own restaurant, which was very good. However, the choice of dishes is very limited.

In one of my visit with the kids, I wanted to have a nice place and on a peaceful area and I choose this hotel. As I had the car I didn't mind to drive 10 minutes and save the $.
The hotel itself is small, nice & clean. Room was nice and large enough to host the 4 of us and in the morning we had very nice breakfast included in the price.
