Having stayed in Tossa De Mar before, we knew what a great Spanish resort it is. Don Juan was clean, decent food, kids liked the mini disco/dancing at night. All inclusive drinks stop at 10pm which was a surprise. Nice to get served in glasses rather than plastic beakers. Also, they had some pint pots for the greedy Brits like me, so you don't have to go to the bar so often. Another good touch was getting a bottle of wine in the restaurant rather than a glass. You put your room number on the bottle and can get waiter to store it for you until the next time you're in the dining room (not something I experienced- once bottle is opened......).
Swimming pool area was very much liked, it had a larger adult type pool and a smaller child one. There was an all inclusive bar there and great views over the town towards castle. Excellent!

Please please please just do not go to this hotel !!!!! i read the few review there were offered and thought it may be not as bad as some, it was a quick break for me 4 days and my it was not a pleasant one. Rooms like dormitories, food is discusting, and ants all over the breakfast sweets......No apology from anyone. No one could really speak English, and if the locals i assume looked at the food with disamay !!!!!!!! all i can say i have been to Tossa de mar sveral times and still love it but please do not go to this hotel. Either spend a little more and go to Golden bahia or pay less with no food, as there are plenty of places to go. Oh ants in room...bed...toothbrush glass, shower head hanging of wall..........please take this review seriously. I have written a complaint to TRAVEL REPUBLIC FOR ADVERTISING A HOTEL LIKE THIS THAT IS TOTALLY NOT WHAT THEY ARE SELLING AND OBVIOUSLY HAVE NOT DONE THERE HOMEWORK.ONE MORE THING BEDDING WAS NOT CHANGED THROUGHOUT, AND MAID WAS NOT HAPPY TO CHANGE TOWELS AS SHOWER FLOODED EVERY WHERE HAD TO MOP UP AFTERWARDS, AND TOWELS WERE WET THRO EVERY DAY.

This hotel has not one ounce of charm or style. The room felt like the worst of a youth hostel with rudimentary fittings, a shower head that fell off, no fridge or cutlery, and no free safe (you pay a bond for the lock and the room didn´t feel safe). Breakfast was fat soaked bacon and eggs with fried bread. You can also clearly hear the conversation from next door. We had views of the air conditioning units of other buildings. The bathroom was clean.

my son recently stayed at this hotel with his school, half the children had things stolen off them (how sad) and the manager threatened one of the teachers, i certainly wouldn't want to stay at this hotel i would be afraid of my things being stolen....on speaking to the children they certainly wouldn't stay here again,,,i'm so glad they were changing hotels half way through their stay,,the 2nd hotel was great.
