This is the first time me and my husband have been to Tossa de Mar. I chose the Costa Brava Hotel by reports of Trip Advisor readers. I thought the hotel lived up to its reputation. Service and cleanliness were spot on. Food was varied, although could have been hotter but there was a microwave which you could use.
We were there for 3 weeks, entertainment at the beginning was good but lapsed by the end of our holiday, I believe this was because it was the end of the season. The hotel is very well situated, near to all the bars, restaurants and beach. Towels are provided by the hotel for use round the pool, for a refundable deposit of €10 and you could change these as often as you wished. I would recommend the Bar Cocos accross the road run by Juan and Rosa, very friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I returned from this hotel on 17th September, having had a wonderful 10 day holiday in Tossa de Mar. We have been to this resort a number of times in the past but as our last visit was 15 years ago, we were crossing our fingers that it was still as beautiful as when we last visited. I'm pleased to say we needn't have worried - in fact, it was even better!

With regard to the Hotel Costa Brava, we were delighted with our room, which was spotlessly clean, (as indeed was the whole hotel), the food was plentiful with a wide choice to suit all palates and the staff very accommodating and friendly. Perfect!

I simply cannot understand the negative comments from "marie-ann m", in particular regarding the staff's treatment of the English. We enjoyed staying in a hotel with other nationalities and everyone was treated in the same way as far as we could see - with a smile, courtesy and efficiency.

We shall certainly return to this hotel the next time we visit our favourite holiday destination!

Arrived back from this hotel yesterday and after reading some of the reviews I was a little worried about going. However, we have had a perfect holiday staying here the room was clean and spacious and the maid changed the towels everyday even though we asked her not to! The location was fine with only a five minute ish walk from every part of Tossa you wish to be in. Every hotel has a downside and I would not have liked a room down the alley, but then again you only really sleep in it. The pool was a little shady in the morning and late evening but as we spent most of the time on the beach did not bother us. I am a coeliac who was very worried about mealtimes, but was impressed by the restaurant staff, in particular Juani and Ursula, who went to great lengths to make sure I always knew eactly what was on the menu, arranged separate meals for me and provided gluten free bread and cakes at breakfast which for me made this a very stress free holiday.
If you do not want to be in the hotel all the time the three bars across the road from the hotel are very good and run by very friendly people. We will be returning to this hotel as do many others we spoke to who return every year.

recently returned from this hotel and would certainly stay again, food lovely, room spotless although
not the best view however, we had family room and it was great to have a bed each instead of the usual put me up.
Staff lovely and very helpful, in fact could not fault anything and will lokk forward to me next trip
Also can recommend local bar opposite hotel called cocos bar. husband and wife team who go out of their way to make you welcome as was apparent by the amount of people who seem to come back to them year after year.
