Just returned from 10 days in this hotel and I thought it was great value for what we paid.Although we came by Easy jet holidays and we were not impressed by their transfer system as we had to wait at the airport in the coach for nearly 2 hours for the arrival of 3 other flights!! However the hotel was spotless ,the cleaners do an excellent job both in bedrooms and public areas. I was very impressed how all public areas were kept so cool as it was very hot when we were there. They certainly don't stint on the Aircon.The Aircon was very good in the bedrooms too .I e-mailed them before we left and asked for a high floor ,pool view which we got but I was a bit dissapointed as we were in an end corner room (437) and it was smaller than most of the others . It also had only one reading light which was a bit annoying as we both like to read in bed, so I imagine it may have been a single room at one stage.That said it was very quiet and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I had read some complaints about the food but I thought it was very fresh and good quality. There was allways plenty of choice ,a lot of fish, great salads and at dinner beautifull desserts and a great selection of fresh fruit. The staff cleared empty plates very quickly and there was never any touble getting a table.We liked how you could swap dinner for lunch as long as you let them know the day before.We did this a couple of times. The pool area was spotless as was the pool and I loved how it was never any bother getting a sunbed. It's a pleasant walk to the beach and the castle and Tossa is a lovely medieval town.Not for anyone wanting a lively holiday ,but for anyone wanting a relaxing break it's perfect.
Room Tip: End rooms seem smaller.I wouldn't worry about getting a pool view as the back of the hotel has q...
