Me and my boyfriend returned from a week's half board stay here last week. On arrival we were given a room on the ground floor - the only one without a card key - and when we opened the curtains we were greeted with a view of some dirty pipes, a roof, and the back of a tower block. The bathroom lock was broken and the door barely closed. There were also 2 single beds. We asked straight away if we could move, and luckily the next day we did, to a third floor room. It was much better with a double, a functioning bathroom door, a balcony, and a preferable view of the street! Our room was cleaned with fresh towels every day.
As for the food, it was ok but a very limited selection. Often the meat dishes were particularly unappetising. It was nearly impossible to get a drink; instead of taking your order on arrival, you had to hail the staff down as they reluctantly walked by. One evening we sat down at an empty table only to be moved as it was 'reserved' for a party of 45. Breakfast proved even less of an event with only rolls and croissants on offer. One day the juice machines only contained water. Needless to say we went out for breakfast more than once! Also, we tried out the (unatmospheric) bar one night but there was no barman, we had to ask at reception for someone to come.
The rooftop pool was a nice feature, with excellent views. However the pool itself was tiny, and the sunloungers weren't in the best condition.
The hotel is literally a stones throw from the beach, and a couple of minutes walk from the cafes and bars, so in terms of location it is perfect. Overall though, the hotel was clean, but needs to vastly improve its food selection and drinks service, and certain rooms need some fixing! However it was cheap, so I guess you do get what you pay for...
