A standard sol seaside hotel which is looking rather tired in places. The pool area is pleasant but overlooks a busy road. The public areas and gardens lack any TLC and the whole hotel has tiled floors which makes it rather noisy. The rooms and bathroom fittings are dated, however the aircon is quite efficient. Meals are adequate bearing in mind the very reasoanble rates. The hotel is suituated a good 20 min walk from the walled town. The walk is along a main road passing what look like giant fish processing plants. The harbour is more industrial than quaint, and the town itself is rather lacking in character. We spent one night here and the best advise is head north towards one of the beaches and 'islands' accessed via small causeways.

I would say it’s an average hotel, ideal for a short-stay.

We stayed there just for a night, and since we had a car, we were alright to travel around the town; otherwise it would have been a long, long walk to the centre of Peniche and back. It’s not far from the beach, though.
In theory, guests may use the swimming pools for free, but in fact, that’s applicable only to the outside pool, as anyone who wishes to use the inside pool, has to use a swimming cap; since most people are not equipped with one, be aware, the Hotel charges €2.50 for each cap…

What I will remember most fondly is the huge, comfortable, king-size bed…

It's a nice hotel. The price is fair. The bedrooms were large and good Didn't like the pool conditions.

We requested a double room and ended up with two single beds pushed together. These beds were infested with bed bugs. The meals provided by the hotel for a price are pretty poor.

The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned well except for the bed bug plague. Nice balcony views. The location is good to get to local surf at Supertubes or Praia do Baleal but to get to Peniche is a long, long walk and this is the only place to eat at night other than the hotel.

Overall, a fairly disappointing experience but Peniche is not a hugely developed or pleasant town so probably the best available.
