This is a nice inexpensive hotel to stay at when you're in Leira. It is in the city center close to the old town, the castle and the shops of Leiria. The outside of the hotel isn't that appealing, but the rooms make up for it. They are recently renovated, and are nice and spacious and have a great shower.

The only remarks I would have that the rooms are a bit noisy and the hotel could do with an online reservation system. But overall the hotel has a good price / quality ratio and it is worth the phone call to make a reservation.

This newly modernized one star hotel is so recently renovated that you can still smell the formaldehyde in the plush carpeting. Clearly they were/are a one-star hotel that is seeking to re-graded to two-star status, so while it would be a good value at two-star rates, it is an excellent value at on-star rates while they last. We paid about 45 Euro for two including breakfast and taxes. That's impossible to beat for such a nice place. Breakfast was pretty good too. The room was very large and comfortable, on the fifth floor, and had a terrific view of the Castelo and other parts of this small city. It was very clean and comfortable, with friendly English speaking service. You could walk to various places but parking is easy all over so it's easier to drive.
