This Hotel is listed as a 4 star but actually is a 3 star hotel, in my opinion.
The location is poor and far away the city town of Guarda. If you have a car is not a problem.
The room were clean, big and the bathroom is enormous. The breakfasts were very good with a wide variety of things. The restaurant service are a menu of the day, which is a good value. I have dinner once but I must say is one of the best restaurant’s hotel where I have eat.
But there isn’t anything else to recommend it.
There isn´t animation, the staff must be more friendly and sympathique, the outdoor pool only can be use in the middle of the day (because the pool stay in the dark, without sun, by the afternoon) and the heath club is horrible. Is very small, is used for outside people and because of that the client’s hotel have access very limited (you only can use the gym until 18H00, you can´t use the pool in certain hours, etc..) and you only is inform about this when you want to go to heath club. In my last day, I can´t use the jacuzzi neither the pool because they decide clean both, one hour before closing time.
Guarda is a very cold city and there isn´t a interesting city to sightsee but you are beautifull places to see around (Almeida, Castelo Mendo, Belmonte) but I don´t recommend this hotel to stay unless you can get a nice price and you don´t have better option.

Lusitania Park Hotel was a very nice surprise. All I have read was fair enough compared to the reality. It's easy to find, as parking for guests (altought sometimes, with the outside users of the gymn, parking was a bit difficult), the looks out and inside are great, modern, clean, shiny. The room was very large, the bathroom excellent.
The breakfast area - already with christmas decoration - was amazing, the food was very good, with a lot os choices, including hotel made sweets (the hotel grows several fruit trees).
Guarda is a very colf city in the winter, even without snow (go prepared with lots of clothes) but the room and other hotel spaces were always very enjoyable.
The staff was friendly ( and that's one thing I rarely am satisfied about), helpfull and available.
Certainly a place to go back and to recomend.
