Nice and clean hotel in a good position in the city center. Delicious and various breakfast, u can make waffles by your own (great!!!).

I have been staying here several times now, and have been very pleased so far.
The location of the hotel is in the middle of the town, next to the river and close to shops (however the more beautiful part of the town is on the other side of the river).

The staff is friendly - the hotel chain is very "health" focused and even have a map of good jogging trails in the area.

The rooms are clean, the beds very comfy - for those who are not used to Norwegian hotels: the bathroom only has a wall pump with hair and body shampoo, so bring all the necessary toiletries....

As for the restaurant, I have tried a few meals there and they are pretty average apart from a salmon meal which I can recommend. However the town has several other restaurants.

There is a SPA/Pool area in the hotel and for 50 NOK per stay you can access it too.

Kongsberg makes a good stopping off point before heading into the wonderful scenery of the Hardangervidda - a peaceful small town with an impressive old main square, all with a distinctively New England feel. The Quality Hotel is a fairly typical chain hotel, with a strong business flavour, but with a friendly reception and a good breakfast buffet. The room was pretty standard, and would have been overpriced anywhere other than Norway (or the UK)

The hotel is good for conferences and seminars as they are very professional about such arrangements. The rooms are well decorated, some of them are really large. Modernly furnished, and beautiful art on the walls. They have a great leisure-center with pool and spa - recommended. If you are lucky you will get a room with a view over the river. The hotel is situated about 400 meters from the railway-station and in the middle of the town-center. Kongsberg is a very small city, so being in the middle of town doesn't feel crowded at all. The restaurant provides great food, and the staff seems to be very concerned about your well-being. Breakfast was great with a large variety of food and drinks. The conference-rooms are spacious and in the breaks the guests can serve themselves with coffee, tea, water, fruit, popcorn and soft-ice. Very popular amongst the participants.
