We are a family with two children age 9 and 10. We were made welcome by Sue and Anders. The accommodation was beautiful. The views were unbelievable and you could easily spend the week just looking at the scenery.
We drove over the snow road. Went by Safari to Underdal. Spent the day in Aurland getting there in the boat that comes with the chalet.There was plenty to see and do walking was fantastic. We cannot recommend this holiday enough we will definately return

We are a family of 4 and we stayed in the house, which was fantastic. The views are amazing and it's great to be halfway up the mountain, away from the ship crowds, of which there are lots! We cooked three nights (the coop market in Flam was better than the supermarkets in Aurland) and ate at the Flamstova twice (which the kids liked) and the Fretheim hotel once (lovely service). The house was well-equipped and clean, all the living areas had lovely views. We had a very relaxing time and as it rained twice we were really happy that we had a house to spread out in rather than a hotel room to be cooped up in, and with a pingpong table too. The hosts also provided coffee, tea, sugar, and washing
liquid, which I didn't expect. The week was very relaxing and we are happy we booked the house.

My boyfriend and I were so impressed with this house, and with Flam. Granted, the scenery is incredible enough to mean that we would have been happy in tents, but our stay was just lovely.

Sue and Anders are wonderful hosts, informative, easy-going and chatty without being intrusive. The houses/huts (we stayed in the house but I checked out the huts on the last day, just to see what they're like) have living areas with stunning views out over the fjords. Stay in the house up the hill if you're a larger party (6 or more), there are four bedrooms and the living space is really large. The balcony is lovely for an evening drink of wine too!

If you're into nature and the outdoors, this is the place to go. There are walks galore, and you get a little boat with the house which is great for exploring the fjords on your own. Or you could just sit and gaze at the scenery, occasionally commenting on the sheer LUCK of it that you're there, like we did.

The houses were clean and neat, and the bed very comfortable and cosy. Really, really recommend this. We really felt like we were somewhere special. Have fun!

Our stay in Norway will be remembered as one of our best trips ever! Of the many cities and accomodations that we stayed in, the cabins in Flam at the Fretheim Fjordhytter were - by far - our favorite! The cabin was spectacular, the view grand, and the owners were wonderful - helpful and extremely kind. We had our own powerboat and with it - explored the fjiord and nearby cities. What a fantatic experience of boating, hiking and sitting in awe at such a great place.

We felt like we were in heaven and would highly recommend renting one of these cabins if you stay in Flam. In our opinion - you will not find a better accomodation in Flam for sure - but we would also say you will not find a better accomodation in may all of Norway!!! Thanks Sue and Anders!!
