We stayed there with my partner for a night, arriving by train from Oslo, and leaving next day by ferry to see the fjords. So we wanted a convenient spot to explore Flam and its surrounding easily, there isn't much in Flam, and there isn't anything cheap... This place is very clean as other reviews already said, and I can confirm that the bedroom is ridiculously small compared to the size of the open plan living room. The beds are also tiny, and a twin (although I had requested a double). The owner is polite, and that is it, don't expect a map of the town or any explanation of any sort. Also, there is no coffee, no tea waiting for you when you get there, so be prepared. That being said, there's a small supermarket 100m away, and the kitchen is very well equipped. It's also probably the biggest TV screen I've every seen!

If you stay longer than a few days, you probably want a car there to explore, otherwise great place to be in Flam.

Location: It is situated in the little town of Flåm, right on the harbour. We stopped in Flåm for 3 nights, very relaxing, amazing location. Flåm is a tiny little town, with lots of day trippers, not much on offer as far as restaurants go, and thats where the apartment with kitchen came into its own. A supermarket is located behind the apartments.

Apartment/Room: We stayed in a 2 bed apartment. Large living room, extremely well appointed, Kitchen is well equipped. Bedrooms are on the smaller side. Cleanliness was excellent. Bathroom was large, good shower. Bed was very firm and comfortable.

Service: We found the owner very helpful, I think others find his quiet nature to be rude, but I think that's just his way.

Value: Overall its a great apartment, extremely well appointed and equipped. No complaints at all.

I stayed here for two nights. As everyone says, it is VERY clean, maintained as if brand new. The bed size is norm in Scandinavian countries, it is very narrow.
Someone said there is no internet connection, but there is, just ask the owner and he will let you use internet cable (this is not a wireless port), so as hair dryer. There are only four apartments so sharing the laundry facility is no problem. Besides it has a cloth dryer. Many high end apartments in Norway do not offer the dryer but only washing machines.
The owner asks you to sign a paper of do and don't, but writtein items require common sence only. I really don't why he asks you to do that.
If they provide a small package of oil and butter at cost, it would be very useful. Dry items can be brought in easily but not cooking oil or butter for a couple of days use.

Me & my wife went to Flåm Ferdaminnie for our 12th wedding anniversary for two nights (we're in our 30s).

It's in a fantastic location right on the Fjord. There's not much else in this tiny town ... just the train station & a couple of other hotels. There's a Coop opposite the place which is very convinient ... and some souvenir shops.

There are 4 apartments & the owner of the place has a souvenir shop below on the ground floor (all apartments are on the 1st floor ... no elevator).

The Good: Very very clean. The kitchen is *very* well equipped. bathroom is huge with heated flooring. Nice living room. Free laundry in the common utility room on the same floor. Convinient location.

The Bad: Owners not very friendly. You have to sign a long list of do's and dont's & pay the entire amount in advance. No internet access. around 15 steps (though i didn't count) ... so if you have luggage, you'll have to carry it upstairs yourself.
Disproportionately small bedroom. Infact it was downright ridiculous ... the size of the beds was so small that you can't roll in your sleep (you'll fall off). we're 5'4" in height ... and we could just about fit.

A couple of tips:
We stayed here for 1050Nkr a night ... we did go to see another property nearby: Flåm Marina & Apartments. it seemed like it had a better view. It costs around 1100Nkr a night though it's a 10 mins. walk to the Flåm station.

Another better option (if you have a car) would probably to stay in Aurdal as it had many more options & IMO it's more scenic.
It's around a 10 mins. drive from Flåm. It's also the starting point of the scenic route which bypasses the tunnel to Lærdal.
And do go on the scenic route ... it's very interesting.
