The apartment was clean, comfortable and recently renovated. Check-in was simple. There isn't that much in Flam, it is a base to go to other places and to do things such as kayak on the fjords, thus the fact that there is no view was not an issue. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It would have been nice to have wi-fi.

The apartment we had was a 2 bedroom, and although it was very modern and nice, we were overall pretty dissapointed with Flam Ferdaminne. From their website it looks like all the apartments have a view, unfortunately we didn't. We looked at a cafe and couldn't even keep the lounge private as there wasn't a blind The owners weren't very friendly and they run the busy souvenier shop downstairs and they made us feel like an inconvenience turning up. Our 'welcome' was a big sheet of rules we had to sign. So nice apartment, but don't expect any hospitality or help with the area. Flam is all about the cruise ships (which are constantly parked out front), though the fjord ferry cruise and rail were really nice. Going to the brewery there with the tasting rack was good fun.

We stayed there with my partner for a night, arriving by train from Oslo, and leaving next day by ferry to see the fjords. So we wanted a convenient spot to explore Flam and its surrounding easily, there isn't much in Flam, and there isn't anything cheap... This place is very clean as other reviews already said, and I can confirm that the bedroom is ridiculously small compared to the size of the open plan living room. The beds are also tiny, and a twin (although I had requested a double). The owner is polite, and that is it, don't expect a map of the town or any explanation of any sort. Also, there is no coffee, no tea waiting for you when you get there, so be prepared. That being said, there's a small supermarket 100m away, and the kitchen is very well equipped. It's also probably the biggest TV screen I've every seen!

If you stay longer than a few days, you probably want a car there to explore, otherwise great place to be in Flam.

Location: It is situated in the little town of Flåm, right on the harbour. We stopped in Flåm for 3 nights, very relaxing, amazing location. Flåm is a tiny little town, with lots of day trippers, not much on offer as far as restaurants go, and thats where the apartment with kitchen came into its own. A supermarket is located behind the apartments.

Apartment/Room: We stayed in a 2 bed apartment. Large living room, extremely well appointed, Kitchen is well equipped. Bedrooms are on the smaller side. Cleanliness was excellent. Bathroom was large, good shower. Bed was very firm and comfortable.

Service: We found the owner very helpful, I think others find his quiet nature to be rude, but I think that's just his way.

Value: Overall its a great apartment, extremely well appointed and equipped. No complaints at all.
