Although Corregio and this hotel were farther from Milan than we expected to travel our first day, both were welcome after an overnight flight from the U.S. The hotel was small but attractive; my room was attractive but not small --- friends had smaller rooms, with highly polished dark, hardwood floors. The staff was professional and helpful. Parking could not have been more convenient. Breakfast turned out to be better than any of the others I had during my 17 days in Italy, including those in my Rome hotel. The only drawback was what seemed to me to be a somewhat hard mattress and an unusually hard pillow. Had it not been for the fact that I was too exhausted to fall asleep quickly, I don't think I would have been able to get much sleep (unless I could have arranged a pillow exchange).
