It was my 3rd stay at the Baunatal Ambassador and I never experienced any mayor problems.During my last stay in November 2011 I had to use my Hotel room telephone just to let my family know that everything was OK. When I paid my bill I was surprised that I have been charged for a 3 minute call to South Africa with 32 Euro ( 80 units x .40 cents ). This I really find disturbing and a ripp off, because normally phone calls from Germany to overseas are very cheap. I expected maybe to pay between 3 -5 euros, but never 32,- Euros. When queried at the reception, I was told that they will check it out, but could not get back to me with a plausible explenation ( e.g. what the tariffs are ). As a loyal and good customer I paid, but still find this charge day light robbery. The Hotel room advisor, which I checked before making the call does not clearly indicate the charges. Only .40 cents for local calls are mentioned. No indication for overseas calls. Should maybe written a little clearer in the Hotel room advisory. Sorry, but I'm really dissappointed, because this call costed me a solid daily travel allowance. I have learned my lesson, not to use any room services e.g. telephone
