We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cigalou. The exterior blends with quaint Bormes, but the interior is thoroughly modern and stylish. Our suite was roomy, comfortable, clean and quiet and had a very nice view (pictures are posted). The bathroom was very large, though the tub was an example of the French fancy for style coming ahead of a concern for function. The staff was friendly and helpful. Internet is available but a bit pricey.
Bormes itself is small, and easily walked in a few hours, but interesting and notable for many small, pleasant restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Escoundudo, close to the hotel on Rue Moulins - it was one of the very best meals we had in all of the south of France.
One tip -- as noted in a prior review, the entrance to the hotel is largely blocked by tables at the sidewalk café in front, and is a hazardous passage. But if you enter at the center of the cafe, you can walk relatively unobstructed into the restaurant proper - go to the back of the bar and there is a passage to the right that goes to the hotel reception.
