This hotel is clean, in an excellent location. With the lake views from the back of the hotel great. A friend and myself spent a couple of nights in the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. A great many choices. My issue was we arrived a bit late and the buffet looked a bit picked over. And the staff never offered coffee or tea. And many of the tables where not cleaned.
Being the holidays we were very disappointed with the menu offering as if was not up to what we expected for a special holiday meal.
We also spent the day in the spa. I booked three treatments. And they were rushed. According to the time stated in the brochure, I was shorted 30 minutes of massage time. Did not like.
Had a relaxing afternoon in the sauna area and relaxation area. But around four in the afternoon, the children started to arrive, and the peace and quiet was ruined with screaming running children left un attended. The children were running in and out of the sauna keeping it cool. My day at the spa was ruined with this type of atmosphere.
The hotel is under new management. It seems to have become much more family oriented. This as everyone seemed to have children. Not a place for a romantic quiet relaxing weekend. Also a great hotel for pet owners, as the hotel allows pets, especially dogs.
My opinion is out on the hotel. In the past, under the old management, I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. But I do not know if the large number of children was simply due to the holidays, or if this is a more perm issue.
