I was actually very surprised at the quality of this hotel vs price vs Best Western! It is very reasonable. The location of it in the middle of the "city" of Stockerau makes it ideal for anyone who wants (needs) to be there.
Check in was excellent, the staff were nothing but friendly and were very helpful with any requests I had during my stay. I would recommend any hotel to go and get some lessons from these people on how to treat guests and make them feel welcome.
I also would like to advise you to eat a dinner at the hotel, the food is excellent and I think the chef deserves a medal for the meals he or she dishes up. The breakfast is nothing to rave about, but it is also fairly OK, limited, but the scrambled eggs are probably the best I have ever had at a hotel breakfast buffet. There are breads, juices cold cuts, cheese etc.. You will even get a fresh pot of coffee bought to your table!! The coffee.. also great.
The rooms themselves are huge. I walked in and was quite happy to see I had a big room and a small chocolate on my bed (very comfortable!!) which I thought was a nice touch. The toilet and bathroom were also seperate with the toilet even having its own radiator!
I was however a little disappointed with some things, and these are the reasons why I cannot give the hotel an "Excellent" rating on here. The view out of the room was.. well.. non existent. The carpets were a little off looking, stained but not dirty though. The TV was tiny for the size of the room and the rooms were a little outdated. The room was sometimes TOO hot, and there was no airco, so I don't think summer would be fun.
There was wireless available in the hotel for a fee, or you could also use a LAN line in the room.
One last point, if you are allergic to dogs, beware as they have a sort of live in dog there which sometimes hangs around in the lobby. I have seen it on several occasions but only once this stay.
If you don't like dogs, then don't stay here.
