We stayed last month with our two teen girls and had a lovely room overlooking the mountains and castle that was clean, spacious and the added plus - two bathrooms! There was a pull door section between the girls space and ours. Additionally there were two TVs so we could watch what we wanted and the girls what they wanted. My husband and daughter used the sauna in the evening and reported back that it was excellent. We all dined in the restaurant and the quality of the food was much higher than expected. Excellent selection for every taste, presentation was very gourmet and good service. I'm a foodie so this was a hit w/ me, especially the chestnut soup! I agree with the reviewer from 2004 that the breakfast was a bit lacking, especially for a facility that has such an excellent restaurant. We paid a pretty decent price for this little town (188 Euro) and compared to other hotels on our stay I will admit the breakfast was lacking compared to other hotels we stayed in. This buffet just had cold items and minimal selection. Overall you can't beat that there are things to do in this little town (Reidel factory and castle tour) so it is a great stop for one night.

From the minute you check in to the moment you leave, this friendly hotel sees to your every need. Our room was first class with a baby cot for my daughter and extra towels. Attention to detail was what set it apart from the other hotels.

The meals were excellent and good value for money and the town of Kufstein and the railway station (for further adventures)was a mere 15 minute walk away.

The Alpenrose was everything we have come to expect from German and Austrian hotels. My wife and I were traveling with our son and dog. As is typical in Europe we had to get two rooms (a double and a single). The rooms were clean, well maintained, and the staff friendly. The restaurant was the biggest surprise, we didn't expect gourmet dining in a small Tirolean Best Western, but we got it. The food was very creative and everything tasted wonderful. They also had a very impressive wine list and the wines were served in Riedel crystal. The Riedel Glass Works factory and shop (the main purpose of our visit to Kufstein) are only a couple of hundred feet from the hotel. Breakfast was good, although nothing out of the ordinary. We highly recommend the Alpenrose.

Alpenrose is quite a nice Hotel in Kufstein, Tirol. Rooms are tyrolian/bavarian style. Restaurant is above average; service good.
Embarrassing: breakfast buffet is small, no good service - it's not applicable for a Hotel in such a category; no possibility to leave comments in room or guest book. Over all: best neutral; with a better breakfast would be plus.
