We have stayed at the Batzenhausl 4 times now and are always impressed by the service, quality of accommodations, amazing food and spectacular views. The location is perfect, a quick 5 minute walk into the main area of Igls and another few minutes to the base of the gondola (the start of some very impressive hiking and skiing). The rooms are very well kept and have excellent space considering the typical european style of small bedrooms and bathrooms- the value for your money is excellent. There are many styles of rooms available from the wood trimmed rustic room on the upper floor to the family style rooms with balcony, full table near a picture window and pull-out couch. The food at the Batzenhausl is some of the best in the region in our view. Dinner is always fantastic and the staff are quite accommodating when it comes to the time of dinner service. Breakfast is a wide array of breads, eggs, cheese, meats, cold cereals, yogurt, muesli, coffee and juices (a typical european breakfast of high quality). There is a bus stop in the main area of Igls (5 minute walk) that can take you directly into the heart of Innsbruck in 15 minutes. There area also several shops (grocery store, pharmacy), restaurants, the fabulous Jerome's Pub a la Pub, pizzerias and ice cream shops a 5 minute walk away. In summer you can also walk to a nearby lake to cool down or soak your feet in a cool pool of water diverted from the local stream.

We loved this hotel. We planned to stay 1 night and we stayed for 3. Very spacious rooms, free wifi and parking. Very quiet environment, near to Innsbruck, about 10 minutes drive to the center. Very good breakfast. We didn't eat at the restaurant.
The staff was very helpfull. Nothing to say more. Great value for money.

Good location - right in the town of Igls. A 5 minute walk to the gondola. Lots of well marked trails at the top.
Nice views, clean room and nice breakfast. Did not have the warm welcome like others mentioned but we were in town to hike and experience the alps - not the hotel.
Room is clean, quiet and basic. Typical of the area.

When we came, we had not reservation, but we got a GREAT deal on a suite, and we payd aboute the same for this suite, as a singel bedroom other places.
It`s some km from the city, but nice to get away from all the noise!
The room had an amazing view, really big suite aswell.
They did have a wellness area, but we did`nt have the time too try it out.
We loved it so much here, so insted of 2 nights it became 4!
Helpfull staff, and you will feel very welcome.
