Tired of the standard room but don't want to stay in a dump then try the Bellavista. Its quaint, has outdated furniture and breakfast room that is so small you wonder what would happen if the hotel was full. But, it is friendly, clean, everything works including wifi which is free. Above all the hotel has a really friendly owner. So if you want to avoid Rome then this is an alternative. Its 5 mins walk from the railway station with an hourly train to Rome. If you are just visiting Frascati its surrounded by bars, restaurants and bustling with life. I paid Euro 80 per night. If you want to be up at the crack of dawn however its not the place for you. Life awakens at the hotel at 7:30 am.

I was quite disappointed with this hotel. First of all, people at the reception were quite rude. The web page does not reflect the truth about the hotel. I was expecting to have breakfast there, while in the morning they gave me some "ticket", which allowed me to have breakfast in a bar across the square. This is not very nice, at 7 am in a raining october day, expecially if you are there for working and you expect your hotel to have a breakfast room.
I remember the light in my room was so feeble, I could hardly read!
